Jimmie is really protective of the rights to Stevie’s music and image so it’s gonna be really hard to get a movie made

Never met Stevie, but if you were around in the 80s, you remember all the egos in music at the time, and then you had one of the best ever blues/rock players, blows most everyone else away, and is more humble and polite than any others, except maybe AC/DC, they were known for kindness and humility towards fans, just like Steve.

What a legend he truly was... and a hero! because he showed me that you can get sober and not need drugs and alcohol to play! He in fact came back and played better! and preformed better! He was freaking amazing! He is a GOD to me for showing me that... and to never give up on what you truly love and your talent. He showed us all that you can do it. Why he had to be taken from us so soon and sudden... I'll never understand it? I still can't believe it!?

Stevie got clean in 1986, and he took his sobriety very seriously. Many musicians have credited him with showing them the way, including Bonnie Raitt, Tommy Shannon, members of his road crew, and his brother, Jimmie, often talks about Stevie taught him to get sober. Stevie is an icon to recovering addicts, maybe his most important legacy.

I remember my dad RIP Captain, he watched this way way back when I was in school. He confirmed that John Hammond was the man seeking out Robert Johnson to play In NYC so the world would know who he was. They went to find him to bring him up to NYC and found out he was dead just three days before they got there. The whole thong blew me away. One that my dad was that cool and I never knew it Two I didn't know what a serious career John Hammond so many blues artists. Then I heard some of his radio spots from the 1940s and further blown away. Hammond had to be the coolest white guy ever. His son plays a nice acoustic too.
