This system didn't exist when I visited Hong Kong. Did ride the MTR and the Star Ferry. The cars resemble Philadelphia light rail cars. Thanks Tim for a great video.

@@2A5X4A Hello. We have streetcar lines that use modern light rail type vehicles. Two suburban lines have pantographs. A crosstown line uses rebuilt PCC's. When did U visit Philly?

If this is the Tuen Mun system, it has a fantastic loop terminus at the ferry, where incoming trams loop around to enter the appropriate platform for their destination, then swing out to the route proper. The trams themselves, unlike our Melbourne trams, are driven from one end only, meaning that a balloon loop is needed for it to return to the ferry. Thanks for taking me back to a fascinating visit.

They're a derivative of the Comeng Z-class, aren't they? They look quite similar...

Great video, I think you really got the spirit of the system. Are the bogies on the units articulated? From the way they get round the sharp bends, it looks as if they are.

Have you seen the Chicago metro. The Four Coach train bends on Sharp Curve of Radius 30 metre. See the bogies of Chicago metro. I think they are also articulated. KZitem or Google Search- Chicago L curve.

Kolkata is already having Tram. Tram and Light rail are almost same. Trams are better because they can Turn in less radius curves.

You have to go out of your way to see HK light rail systems, it located in the North Western area of the New Territories of HK. This is area is like a suburb of Kowloon and Hong Kong island.

the Hong Kong tram company rejected the government invitation to build this Light Rail system in 1980s. This system was built by KCR. Now, operated by MTR.
