I cannot tell you guys how much this show brightens my week, so bloody funny it has me in fits of child like laughter, and appears to be getting better every week. I am lucky, in that I work in the Middle East and am therefore not in the awful lockdown you guys are suffering (we had a full blown lock down, including curfew last year, so I know how rubbish it is), but I just love the way us Brits face adversity and produce our best, as in your weekly news event. Hi guys, in 1973, I jumped off my Puch 50 sports, onto my brothers Kawasaki h2 750 triple two stroke, and am still here today to tell the tale, even raced a Ford Capri 3 litre getting up to 125 mph on a 40 mph carriage way, i remember every second of that amazing ride today, the speed, the sound, the wind and the thought that going 125 mph didn’t feel any different than doing 100 mph, weird or what, have you guys ever felt like that at speed. Freaking awesome video guys, my growler is a motad with a big rebar hammered up it’s jacksy and it sounds really 🐯 growlie now, oooooh yeeeeeah guys. Lads, some good news for next week's show... well its massively lifted my spirits. Porsche and Siemens are working on a synthetic clean petrol... apparently when considering the process from manufacture to exhaust, it is possibly more environmentally friendly than electric cars and is 85% more environmentally friendly than normal current fuels. It goes into testing in 2022. This could save the future of internal combustion engines 🙏🙏🙏

Have you ever read the Viz epic 'Profanisaurus'? It's a dictionary of swearing. Absolute comedy gold, and excellent for passing the time whilst you go for a poo. For example, here's the relevant entry; 'plasterer's radio' sim. Descriptive of a lucky lady who is heavily adorned with 'jelly jewellery'. Frequently found on American and Japanese cyber-scud. The funniest book I have ever clapped eyes on.

You guys crack me up 🤣 class show!. I jumped from a DT125 to a CBR1000f last year when i was 25. I've loved every minute and had zero issues in the 6k miles i have done but i agree it would be too much bike for the majority at my age and the mid bikes would be better suited for most especially with the rider aids on the newer bikes etc. I agree with the both of you on that topic. Strangely enough it was cheaper for me to insure the CBR than the DT with it only being £140 for the year 💪🤣. Insurance isn't always a barrier for the newer riders with older big bikes that can go on classic

I find the latest thou's are pretty easy to ride. Its more a self control thing than a bike control thing. At reasonable speeds they aren't any more dangerous than smaller bikes. Problems come when the newbie on it opens the throttle for a few seconds and then realises they're hooning towards a corner/car/whatever way faster than they anticipated.

That same argument for road use only totally changes from person to person and how they go out and use the 1kcc bike. I've had my ER6f (650) for almost three years and am about to get a ZX10r most likely, but I'm not going to jump on it and ride it to the edge of it's ability like I do my 650 (even though I currently ride with S1krr, K1300s, ZX110r's etc), because I'm not stupid, I also will not be doing any track days anytime soon even if I could.

My first bike was an RC51 and I was fast after a month or two of riding it. I Raced cars previously, so I had an understanding of how to take a corner. I did ride a dirt bike YZ80 as a kid so I knew where the clutch and shifter and brakes were, which I'm sure helped. However, many people told me to get a 600.

Bikes, experience and insurance. I started with a Tomas moped when I was 16. Two years later it was a Yamaha TZR 125, then a Virago XV535. That was 1993 and in 1995 the Virago was chopped in for a Triumph Sprint 900, followed by a Daytona T595 (shed). There's beeen many other bikes, some 2 Strokes, "adventure" bikes, more customs and superbikes (Kawasaki ZX7R in green was a favourite Chris), but in 2008 my then bike, a Honda VTR10000 SP2 wasn't getting used and it was sold (one bike I should never have sold). After an eight year break I bought a 2001 Triumph Daytona 955i and after about 18 months I started looking for something newer, but not an in line four. With Triumph not making anything to repalce the Daytona, they were out, so a Panigale V4 was a likely option. The quote from BeMoto with just one full year NCB was £3188 on a new V4. The next year they wouldn't quote at all as there had been a spate claims on such bikes and I was told try when you have four years NCB. A couple of years further on I have said Panigale that goes by the name of Michaela and being secondhand the insurance is about a grand. Previous quotes were for a new one, and at the time I was buying last year a new one would have been £1400 for the insurance. Hiowever, from my experience of insuring Land Rovers for the past 13 years, it's not only the experience that makes a difference, but the valiue of the machine, and I think the latter makes the most difference. Anyway, my tip is this: If you're going to take a break from bikes, buy a cheap and cheerful anything and keep it insured. It will be less painfull on the wallet and in time. All of my bikes are insured with BeMoto. For that I have 44Teeth to thank, so thanks 44Teeth! They may be a little more expensive than some others, but at least they know what they are doing, especially after being rear ended twice in three months! They even know what a bike is, which is refreshing these days.
