@@MattandJulia not sure about the " subtropical" character it ' s too far North.Probably Cfa (warm temperate) or Cfb ( moderate Mediterranean)."Subtropical" would be the Canary Islands SouthCal or central Florida....

I love traveling on long distance trains and yours looked nice. Julia, It was so heartwarming to see you reunited with your family. Awe what a sweet family. So glad you are back spending time with them. I know your Gran must be so happy to see you. Enjoy your time. This train ride was so nice. Glad you didn’t have fellow passengers. I am claustrophobic so I would not make it for an hour in one of those cabins. You are both such a joy. Stay safe and enjoy. Damn! Your train was really nice. I've watched other KZitemrs travel on trains and they weren't nearly as nice. I've never even been on a train. They're just not a common way of travel where I live. I'd like to try it though. Looks like a good way to see the country. And didn't y'all hit the jackpot by not having to share the cabin! Yee haw! I bet that doesn't happen very often.

I did the same trip from Moscow to Sochi. Then stayed in Abkhazia. I loved the hot water dispenser and cups with metal holders. Cigarettes were also still allowed. I couldn't sleep on the train. I was too excited.

Oh so nice you're back with your family. I remember granny and your sis and bro from last December videos. Sochi looks so beautiful. The water is inviting...but probably cold. Enjoy your family time, it's well deserved. I was nervous that you would get company in the coupe, but thankfully you had pure comfort. Nice train too.

I applied to be an apprentice spark but I got to many mark's in my exam and became an apprentice pattern maker. It is now a by gone trade. The powers that be then it was a few years ago. It's great to laugh so much. 6 dollars is cheap for breakfast in a train. It would be 20.00 here now. Our inflation is through the roof. Beautiful coastline.

And as you fly by plane there is even less room for strangers, or always walk. Actually, Russian trains are the most spacious, there will be six seats in the French compartment, and in the German the distance between passengers is even smaller .There are high-comfort trains, but for other money, everyone chooses what is more important .In any case, you can buy all the compartments and go alone.

To be honest, it depends..majority of the time trains are way cheaper than flights, plus when you add the baggage on. We always prefer to go by train, unless it takes a very long time. I never know what is “the right way” to do it…asking to subscribe and like our videos 🤔 to do it or not…

How was the visa process? As a Canadian it’s much more strict than most other countries to visit. I’d love to visit Russia but always turned off by the visa process. Thanks for the video guys!

We have a video about the Russian visa process in our Kyrgyzstan series 🤗 it is difficult, Russia is all about reciprocity, so if the process is hard for Russians going to Canada, they match it. Same for UK citizens too 😩 But worth it 🤗❤️

Russia has repeatedly offered to cancel visas. It's just a matter of reciprocity. No one will unilaterally cancel visas if they don't get the same in return.

usually people on the bottom bunk leave their bunk to let others eat, or they sit up at the far end. Such is Russian train ethics.

I'm curious how roomy are those beds on the train? I'm 6'1 and around 215 so not a giant by any stretch but whenever we travelling overseas we run into issues with me simply not fitting comfortably in places.

Russian rail gauge is about 13 cm wider than standard gauge in Europe and North America and therefore in Russia the vagons are also a little wider and beds probably a little longer.
