I first heard trad jazz in my home town Airdrie in Scotland. The band was The Clyde valley stompers.A couple of years later I was stationed in Chealsea barracks in London with The Scots Guards. I was a regular visitor to the famous club 100 where I heard bands like Chris Barber and Acker Bilk. I think it is great that young people in New Orleans are playing music that excites me and makes me feel like a 74 year old teenager. Long may they continue.

John McCully _-Takes me back to the 50’s, 60’s, my RAF days, Chris Barber, and the trad jazz greats of that era, Played in a skiffle group during my RAF_Hospital Wegberg tour, played clarinet etc, many years and now at 81, it’s a Yamaha KB, this gets my toe tapping and my pulse racing with great memories these young musicians and their wonderful sounds-happy music. 🇦🇺🎼👌🤗🎷

Just GREAT! In the Detroit you could NEVER do this. You'd either get a ticket/jail form the cops or get mugged by the criminals on the streets. There's no venue here in MI for things like this. That drains a person especially if they're a musician or anyone creative.
