Thank you so much for this! This brought tears to my eyes. John Tanner is my fourth great grandfather. My BYU roommate was actually a descendant of one of the Carters that taught him the gospel. I am so thankful for the pioneers and their sacrifices so that we can have the restored gospel.

It is a great video. I worry a lot of the people under 50 haven't and won't watch the older church videos. I tried to have more information and detail than was in the old movie. Hope you enjoyed it.

My wife comes from quite a large family, descended from John Tanner. While there have been many opportunities for it, in every instance we know that promise from Joseph Smith to John Tanner about his children is still happening.

Thank you for sharing that. I feel we pass on spiritual genetics as well as physical. The scriptures say to the 3rd and 4th generation. I feel it goes on much more. The Abrahamic Covenant-Blood of Isreal is an example. Thanks for watching

THANK YOU Bro. Merrill!❤ where is this story found? My grandmother was a Tanner. My family line comes thru John 's son Joseph Smith Tanner & Jannett Hamilton. He was a great example of faith through all his trials & truly a man of God. Thank you again, we love your podcast. ❤

Thank you Brother Merrill. BTW, I know one of the descendants of John Tanner. She comes from a family of 13 children in Southern California . That entire family has offspring who are very accomplished and even prospered monetarily as well. The family has expanded tremendously over the years, as well. I believe Joseph Smith’s blessing on John Tanner’s family continues to this day.

I am so sorry I don't have more. I am spending 50-60 hours a week doing 2 of them. I do all my own research, writing, recording, editing and posting. I usually combing 5-10 different sources to tell as complete a story as possible. My mission work and temple work are cutting into my week as well. I am sad to announce, I am going to cut back to 1 story a week for the summer. Thank you so much for your interest and thanks for watching.
