I've started playing wow around 3 months ago (Retail first) and I have made as a first character a dwarf hunter. I chose to level up in Cataclysm because I wanted to see the Old World (as I have just finished, again, Warcraft 3 story). I was very very impressed and when I got in Loch Modan together with my companian, Vasile the Boar, I fell in love. My hearthstone is always set on Stoutlager Inn Now I am playing classic, I have a Human warrior called Armenus and now I got in Loch Modan because I was doing a quest and I was sent on Algaz station and it feels good to walk around this location

I never expressed my love and gratitude for Loch Modan while playing the game back in the day, mainly because of Westfall was my favourite zone by far, as a leveling Alliance player. Loch Modan however was a very nice experience and I really loved how calm the environment felt, but not without sudden dangers looming around, like the band of elites patrolling the eastern side of the lake.

Ahh yes Loch Modan, I remember how I arrived here on my Night Elf. Me (a Hunter) and my brother (a Druid) had just arrived at Menethil Harbor, and eager to reach Ironforge, we simply ran across the zone, from the Wetland, to Khaz Modan. It was a long, tedious run, even with my Aspect of the Cheetah boosting my speed. And it didn't help that my brother was faster then me in his Cheetah form. I have no idea how it happened, but as you can probably guess, we were seperated, and while my brother arrived in Ironforge, and was awed by what he saw, I must have taken a different route, cuz suddenly, I found myself near a huge lake. We had a laugh about that.

As I'm sure you're more than aware of by now, I thoroughly enjoy all of your uploads. Having said that, this is undoubtedly one of my absolute favorite videos from you thus far! Beyond me being admittedly biased towards this zone, I genuinely believe that this particular episode highlights some of your greatest videography, storytelling, and nostalgia-summoning talents to date. I particularly enjoyed viewing the zone from the perspective of following a band of newcomer adventurers; "their" inability to proceed through the gate to the Searing Gorge was incredibly immersive, and helped to temporarily teleport me back to the mid-2000s. As always, thank you so much for all of your unparalleled contributions to the Warcraft community-looking forward to Ashenvale next!

Good morning, John! Good to see you again. Thank you for your kind words once again! As I start to get a hang of the creative process and find new ways to tell a story, it becomes more and more natural to express what myself, and by extension, many other players, have experienced on our journeys. Zooming in on the shut gate to the Searing Gorge; I imagine all the new dwarfs and gnomes wondering what might lie beyond, and why they cannot pass just now. This must have been a key moment to many players and adding that detail to the narrative, makes it that much more immersive. Sometimes, it's the little things that get the feeling across, and it works :) see you in Ashenvale, my friend!

Interesting that you should mention them. I couldn't find any related information on the Tauren and Orc patrol, other than that they are the equivalent of the Alliance Outrunners in The Barrens. They seem to often take new players by surprise, leading to their inevitable death. After the Cataclysm, they were removed completely from the game.
