You came out of nowhere with this one, Mr. Huff lol your Waste Land series is among the best and most thorough Eliot analyses on the net; might I suggest Dante’s Commedia Divina, The Canterbury Tales, Leaves of Grass, Pound’s Cantos, Hart Crane’s Bridge, and Ginsberg’s Howl and/or Kaddish? 16:25 - yellow smoke "in the context of WW1" makes sense--only Eliot wrote the poem in 1910. It stayed in his files for five years before publication.
