Never understood why the makers of Dr Who didn't think to bring back the sixties Daleks more frequently. They still look great in colour, as well as in black and white. Great to see the amount of sheer hard work that went into this production too. Much appreciated. Well done. ZERINZA!

60s Daleks look even _better_ in color, imo. The blue and silver is striking, probably my favourite Dalek colour scheme.

Great to see TV-style 60's-type Daleks, whether in B&W or Colour! Such mean metallic machine-creatures! We could do with Daleks like these in the parent TV show! Congratulations to all involved, you have made a great Dr. Who film ;D Great prelude to DMP ;D

I think the key here (and it adds authenticity) is that you find performers and production crew who are used to anything, because that recreates the production line TV aesthetic of the BBC back then. Before the show acquired its 'legacy' it was simply part of a continuum with every other genre piece and survived or died on its innovations. It is we who place emphasis on it.

Great behind the scenes... love seeing how it all came together. ❤You should be proud. Wonderful little prelude to The Daleks' Master Plan. Thought I'd point out that the salt lake the Time Destructor was filmed on is called Lake Walyungup and is less than 10 minutes from where I live, here in Rockingham, Western Australia. I literally drive past it every day to and from work. As soon as I saw the salt flats in the film I was like, "Hmm. That looks familiar..." 🙌😊

What a great video! Brings me back to the days of DW: Confidential on BBC 3 as a child. Loved seeing how you guys created such a great fan film and the behind the scenes, especially how quickly you all were able to do all the filming! The idea to get actual actors and not fans worked really well and made so much sense! Can't wait to see what's next :)

Really interesting to see the behind the scenes, because the film itself was incredible, captured that 60s who flavour so well, so it was fun to see how that came about. And not to knock the many talented doctor who fans out there but I think you made the right call aiming to get a cast and crew of non-fans.

What a fabulous insight. Totally reinforces my positive comments last week on the film. I really loved the focus on film making first....fans second. It totally shows on the finished product. As I stated last time, most fan films (albeit with love) are mostly fans cosplaying.Whereas you guys made a genuinely excellent and entertaining homage to Classic Doctor Who. Josh, I know you mentioned in your reply to my original comment that another film won't be for a while ( due to expense and time) but I say again....more please

The Daleks - with all respect to my childhood excitement at seeing them back from time to time - make the most sense in the 1960s. Their flaws are less obvious and (possibly due to the way in which British TV was still an offshoot of the theatre) their stories remained a hybrid of Anglo-American pop culture and the BBC need to remain 'high culture' even when it was doing 'low culture'. This instalment has captured all ends of the market by good acting and harking back to that extraordinary final episode of 'Masterplan', where the ultimate horror is played out as if it's happening live.
