To be fair, practically every picture of "the monster" have been faked or were cases of mistaken identity. As a kid though, all those gothic black and white pictures of humps and necks really lit up my imagination.

Thank you Andy, I had seen Frank in Rod Serlings, "Monsters, Mysteries, and Myths" from about 1976 and wondered about him. This put everything together. Wonderful interviews, photos, and personal stories. Now how about Tim Dinsdale? 🐍😃

I knew Frank well,when he left Scotland he came to stay at our house for 8 weeks,then left to live in the bed sit he got,he left Scotland driving a series3 swb land rover towing a small camping trailer.i even knew who faked his photos for him.mr Searle.

My grandfather once lined an eel with a head as big as a sheep's in a irish bog...pond river ......but it broke the line ....back in the 1930s..!

@@vibeofthee80s_ but all these years later and he gets more attention than any of the other Loch Ness Monster hunters. It's pretty much been established that there is no monster so Frank created one, he was right all along and made the most of the mystery for his own gain. RIP Frank.

@thedesolateone yes thats true. I believe he saw something that suprised him to stay at the loch for years in frozen winters in a tent. He saw some kind of sea creature maybe, but i dont believe he saw a sea monster or any monster in lochness. But he was surely determinend to see it again on camera but went to far?

I like Adrian’s outlook, he has conducted a lot of research to scientifically assess different theories about ‘monster’ sightings. He acknowledges that most people 😅 aren’t actively lying, they just don’t know what they’re seeing.

No man would stay in a tent at lochness for 7 to 10 years at least and all through those frozen winters that were cold enough to kill you unless he saw something that totaly convincend him that he saw some kind of sea creature and big enough too. As i have never believed there was any sea monters in lochness. Even from 7 to 13 feet long would be big enough to scare any one, plus 5 feet high and heavy at around 40 stone

Enjoyed that! My brother and I met him when we were kids. He was quite chatty. This was a little while after the Sunday mail expose. Remember him telling my dad how the paper had stitched him up!

Probably a giant catfish or Baltic Sturgeon. But until they are found we will never know, and I have no problem not knowing, keeps the mystery. 🙂 Also, a test of the water found that 20% of the animal DNA is unknown, so that is interesting.

It's still a mystery. But whatever it is, it is at least 30 feet in length. Operation Deepscan proves that with sonar data. My own conclusion is that it could be a giant salamander or Eel. But we would have seen more active. Sturgeon fish is another possibility. It can not be a pleisosaur. Those reptiles died out a long time ago, plus their necks couldn't raise up vertically they had a row of bones that locked they could only sway neck side to side.

HE DID NOT CAPTURE NESSY "HE TOOK SOME PHOTOS" THE DIFFERENCE BEING HE COULD HAVE DOCTERED THE PHOTOGRAPHS BUT IF HE HAD OF CAPTURED SOMETHING HE WOULD HAVE HAD ACTUAL PROOF.

What a terrible attack on that expert Nessie researcher. He did a better job than those who slander him. These fools are such good researchers that they can not come up with any evidence. Maybe because they spend their time whining about expert researchers instead of getting out in the field, which is required if you are going to find one.
