I'm from Tierra del fuego and I've never heard that the use of fires was a means of communication, the yamanas used the fires while on the boats when they were fishing

Gee these natives remind me of tribes in Australia but obviously different facial features. Paint markings and the fire thing are similarities, thats probably it tho. :-) I'll look into this some more. Thank you! !

The ancient DNA studies have been done and verified, the Aboriginals of Australia, the Negritos from the Philippines, the Natives of Papua New Guinea, and others, are from ASIA, Eurasia to be exact, with Asian DNA, not African DNA. DNA and new dating techniques, have given up a lot of surprises, with more to come. The discovery of the Denivosons is very significant. There is no or next to none Denovisan DNA in Africa. However the Aboriginals of Australia, the Negritos from the Philippines, the Natives of Papua New Guinea, the Natives of New Zealand, Oceana, the Natives of the Americas, and others, all carry Denovisan DNA. No Denisovan DNA in the supposedly cradle of humanity? The OOA is a theory, not a scientific fact, it's a best guess. Seems like there was a migration out of Asia, and they hit a lot of continents.

Fires and smoke signals were ways of alerting others of danger, war, help, SOS some used it to communicate with spirits. All tribes did/do it, some descendants still do it.

I think is a natural evolution of using fire on a daily basis. If you are curious, you learn to do different things with what you use more often.
