@ObiWan Kenobi I know it is jarring especially as someone who grew up with Legends stuff being canon, but in the long run it does make sense. What made Order 66 so effective was the surprise of it all. With the Temple attack Anakin literally walks up the main stairs with his troops before engaging so every Jedi knew they were coming, (excluding ones in class). It leaves enough time for the more peaceful Jedi to escape out some back ways while the troops are busy making their way through the whole building. Anakin also couldn't be everywhere at once so realistically a good number of them should have been able to escape.

I think the Armorer is sort of like a Druid so she has massive clout. Karen Traviss set a lot of the Mandalorian lore with her Republic Commandos books and she took heavy inspiration from the Celtic warriors of Europe. She did this following the lead of Drew Karpyshyn in KOTOR who used elements of Viking and Celtic culture in his rewrites of what the Mandalorians were. George Lucas had them more like ninjas with a peaceful faction but then working in the shadows which is how Filoni initially portrayed them.

I honestly love how they're on such a hostile planet going back to ancient times on Mand'alor when the Mandalorians had to fight to earn the land which of course became their new Homeworld. Also just a good way to keep everyone on their toes for anything, should be more aware of their surroundings though like at least build up some defences but maybe this is still all pretty new to them and over time we'll see this Enclave change and evolve. Also pretty surprised with how many fan dislikes how many "creatures" we've seen in this show so far. Mostly Theory's fanbase but I personally don't mind this at all as it fits the Mandalorian culture. Like I said above Mandalorians would 100% settle on a planet with alot of creatures to hunt and prove themselves on not some peaceful planet where they can put their feet up and relax. Fighting and hunting giant beasts is literally the single thing a Mandalorian should be able to do, and these guys apparently don't even have a single ship to themselves (Off-worlders Bo and Din needing to save them with theirs), constantly beset by creatures they're entirely unprepared for, multiple times, on a planet they refuse to adapt to, on a beach they were just attacked on and were apparently all going to perish on if one of the two Mandalorians with ships didn't arrive to save them. If anything this show is proving to me how incredibly far Mandalorians have fallen in every single conceivable respect.

I started thinking, after this episode and Screen Crush's "The Empire was Right" episode, that maybe instead of Jedi, the new republic tries to convince Mandalorians to be the peacekeepers of the galaxy. It would play into their current want to stay nomadic and I think would be faster than trying to get the Jedi back up and running, especially after Luke's failed attempt at an academy. Just an interesting thought.

Bo's Pauldron falls off. Eric: "She's gonna get a new one." Rick: "It's gonna be a Mythosaur pauldron." Creature falls into the water. Calvin: "Come on, turtle!" Turtle eats the creature. They're effectively just writing the episodes at this point with their callouts. I love it.

In many forms of meditation, you stare into a flame of light to help block sight helping to increase other senses. This facilitates a deep dive into your mind, or as some believe, allow your mind to travel to other places or planes. Since the forging of metal involves a repetitive visual and auditory process this could facilitate a meditative state.

I think the Armorer knew. How does she still have some Living Waters for the forge? Notice she say “those who walk the way of the Manda’lor” not the way of Mandalore. THE Manda’lor. Then just says “This is the Way.” Whether Din or Bo I think she wants someone to take up the role of Manda’lor and lead them to take back Mandalore. I had that thought when Paz recognized Bo as leader of the war party. They need a leader. The Armorer is technically just a shaman, not a true leader.

It was blink and you'll miss it but the Armorer called that creature a Shriek Hawk, known as a Jai'galaar in Mando'a, which is where the term "Jaig Eyes" comes from. So, my hope is that, somewhere down the line, we get Mandalorians riding those baby ones (after they've grown up, of course) and have Jaig Eyes on their helmets Also, Ahmed is DEFINITELY redeemed in everyone's eyes by now (not that he deserved any of the hate he got in the first place though)

It was a complete step-up from last week's episode. Yes, it was a short episode but it was straight and right to the point. I do feel like the Armorer just brushed aside what Bo revealed at the end, saying that it was only a dream. I'm betting that by season's end, the Mandalorians will return to the Mines of Mandalore to see for themselves that a Mythosaur still exists. Also, I feel like Ahmed Best has been redeemed from all the heckling he's received all these years for playing Jar Jar in the prequels (I grew up with the Prequels, and Jar Jar was a bit of comic relief at times), so it was great to see another flashback to The Temple and that night. There's at least 1 more part to that story, and hopefully it'll be addressed soon.

I loved this episode so much! It was so great to be able to watch another new episode of this show again. I felt like everything about it was just so amazing in every aspect. The the story, the action and the interactions between the characters made this episode even more amazing. I also loved the score for this episode, it gave us both that classic Mandalorian theme that we love and some new more mystical themes. I loved all the scenes where Mando talks to Grogu, especially when he enters Grogu into the contest. And the set design for the locations in this was so amazing. Whether it was the planet the Mandalorians were on or Coruscant they just looked so real and lived in through out the entire thing. I really liked seeing Grogu in that children’s contest, especially because of how we got to see him mix his Jedi training with Mandalorian weaponry. It was cool to see Bo-Katan adapting to this new way of life through out the episode, especially because of how we know that she doesn’t much care for it. And to see her helping them out out by tracking down the beast and leading the hunt was also pretty cool. And it was also really cool to get to see the group of Mandos walking through the desert, working together to journey to the nest. And I loved the scene between The Armorer and Grogu. Not only because of how it perfectly parallels Din’s visits to the Armorer in season one, but also because of how she has officially accepted this Jedi child as a Mandalorian foundling. Now, I’ve got to talk about that crazy incredible flashback that Grogu had. We have once again gotten another Order 66 scene, but not only was this one from Grogu’s perspective but it was at the Jedi Temple. It was amazing to get to see the Jedi and the 501st Clones fighting through the halls of the temple. And then we finally, after years of speculation get the reveal of who saved Grogu from the Jedi Temple on the night of Order 66, and it was none other then Ahmed Best as Jedi. This was such an incredibly huge surprise, but a welcome one. And it was so awesome to get to see him taking down all those Clones (more than any of the other Jedi in this episode did) one after the other. And it was also super awesome to see the chase through the streets of Coruscant especially because it gave us a look at some live action Republic Gunships and some more live action Clone Troopers. I really hope that we get to see more of the story between the Ahmed Best Jedi and Grogu somewhere down the line. The fight between the Mandalorians and that flying beast was really cool, getting to see all those Mandalorians working together using all different types of weapons and fighting techniques to try and bring down the monster was super cool. And it was awesome to see one of those Alligator monsters from the first episode of the season come out of the water and eat it. And I found the ending scene between The Armorer and Bo-Katan to be very interesting. Because although Bo-Katan admitted to her about seeing a Mythosaur the Armorer did not believe her, whether because it goes against their beliefs or because she herself simply cannot believe something like that to be true. I also wonder if now that Bo-Katan has told the Armorer of what she saw, will she tell Din next, or still keep it from him. I really just loved this episode so much. It was so amazing in every aspect and served as a great action packed thriller. I am super curious to see where the rest of the story will lead the Mandalorian and Grogu and what will happen in next week’s episode. This is the Way

I love how through the Mandalorian culture they are exploring the idea of how the force is everywhere, it's just that in contrast to the Jedi, Mandalorians don't look to control it or tame it but surrender to it, hence their most important axiom "This is the way".

PURE vindication for Ahmed. Being the voice of a character that was the butt of so many jokes for so many years... and now he's Grogu's savior. I thought the embellishments to his tunic really set him aside as the "Sabered Hand" ... or maybe the "Dean" of the Jedi" as he might colloquially be known as. I have something on my mind for a while now. Is there something mystical about forging Beskar ? There is the speech from the armorer in last episode that suggests so. It triggers flashbacks for Din and Grogu, that we get to see. Does it do the same for Bo ? Does the forging of her shoulder plate provoke some introspection ? Is that why she reveals the mythosaur thing to the armorer ? I feel like there is something else to beskar than its rarity or its strength. What do you think ?

Thrawn vs Gideon's ranks are hard to compare because they're different systems. Thrawn's rank is military, Gideon's is civilian/political. It would be like comparing who has the higher rank between the governor of a state who can call out a state militia and an admiral in the national navy.
