The Chargers have let me down so much at this point that no matter how much of a monster regular season they are having, I won't believe in them till they actually win the big one.

I think this game should've happened in 2007 because the NFL should've redid the interconference rotation like this: 2002,2006,2010,2014,2018,2022 AFC East vs NFC East (Patriots,Dolphins,Jets,Bills vs Eagles,Redskins,Giants,Cowboys) AFC North vs NFC West (Steelers,Ravens,Browns,Bengals vs Rams,49ers,Seahawks,Cardinals) AFC South vs NFC South (Titans,Colts,Jaguars,Texans vs Buccaneers,Saints,Falcons,Panthers) AFC West vs NFC North (Raiders,Broncos,Chiefs,Chargers vs Bears,Packers,Vikings,Lions) 2003,2007,2011,2015,2019,2023 AFC East vs NFC North (Jets,Patriots,Dolphins,Bills vs Packers,Vikings,Bears,Lions) AFC North vs NFC South (Steelers,Browns,Ravens,Bengals vs Buccaneers,Falcons,Saints,Panthers) AFC South vs NFC East (Titans,Colts,Jaguars,Texans vs Eagles,Giants,Redskins,Cowboys) AFC West vs NFC West (Raiders,Broncos,Chargers,Chiefs vs 49ers,Rams,Seahawks,Cardinals) 2004,2008,2012,2016,2020,2024 AFC East vs NFC South (Patriots,Dolphins,Bills,Jets vs Panthers,Saints,Buccaneers,Falcons) AFC North vs NFC North (Ravens,Bengals,Steelers,Browns vs Packers,Vikings,Bears,Lions) AFC South vs NFC West (Colts,Titans,Jaguars,Texans vs Rams,Seahawks,49ers,Cardinals) AFC West vs NFC East (Chiefs,Broncos,Raiders,Chargers vs Eagles,Cowboys,Redskins,Giants) 2005,2009,2013,2017,2021,2025 AFC East vs NFC West (Patriots,Jets,Bills,Dolphins vs Seahawks,Rams,Cardinals,49ers) AFC North vs NFC East (Steelers,Ravens,Bengals,Browns vs Eagles,Giants,Cowboys,Redskins) AFC South vs NFC North (Colts,Jaguars,Texans,Titans vs Packers,Vikings,Lions,Bears) AFC West vs NFC South (Chargers,Broncos,Chiefs,Raiders vs Falcons,Saints,Panthers,Buccaneers)

Seems like on every throw peyton manning had to throw a dime because of how good that defense was playing.

Has Tom Coughlin had rosey red cheeks all his life or just when Eli is QB? My blood pressure prolly be high too.

Peyton had Eli just outclassed in so many ways back in the day. Yeah I know Eli edged out the 2 big SB wins against the Pats but that was also largely due to the Giants having one of the best defenses in the league for a few years at that point. Yeah I know, Denvers D played a huge roll in Peytons SB win with them, but that was also the tail end of his career.

@Harry Engel yes, Marcus Vick. Played QB at VT as well but got into some trouble off the field that kind of derailed his career. Still made it to the league but wasn't that successful.

This game was such a microcosm of the Colts Regular Season in 2006. The defense couldn’t stop the run all day, the offense got very few possessions but Peyton Manning bailed them out w/ his brilliance and the secondary made one key play late to escape w/ a win.

I also miss the old Giants Stadium. MetLife Stadium is an expensive, dull looking, bland place that was built more for the corporate folks than for the true fans. The old stadium may have been a bit outdated before it was torn down, but it had character, history, and a better game day atmosphere compared to the new stadium. I also believe that if the Giants were the sole occupants of the newer stadium and didn’t have to share the stadium with the Jets, (they should get their own damn stadium!) I’m quite sure the stadium would’ve had a much different design. More of a old/modern throwback look , and an appearance that makes it known that it’s truly their stadium. MetLife, with those ugly looking gray seats and the ever changing signage, colors and wall drapery, makes it seem as it’s two teams renting the place rather than one actually owning it. It’s a billion dollar metal waste of corporate garbage!!!

dh7175 trust me a giants-only stadium would way way more unfriendly and way more futuristic than MetLife. It would not be anything approximating throwback design. The irony in you comment is that MetLife is the only one of the recently opened stadiums that actually looks like a stadium and doesn’t have some crazy wacky insane but impersonal design. It’s just a normal football stadium, it is in its own way a huge throwback, neutral colored seats or not.

This game was fun had some good hype for it as it opened the season I believe. I’ll never forget being at champps Americana with my parents hours before kickoff eating appetizers making sure we had a seat to watch the game. Back in peytons hay day here locally you couldn’t get a seat at any restaurant that had TVs for years it was the best time

Wow that OPI in the 4th Q was an absolute dog turd call. Basically ended the game for the Giants. These big pass interference calls need to all be reviewed. They have that much impact on the game.
