It is time for Pride! Celebrate queer community and pride month with “The Many I Am” ! This song is a love letter to the LGBTQA+ community; a gender queer anthem dance party featuring a giant horn section and gorgeous harmonies; a celebration of gender identity, gender diversity and inclusive community; a call for unity; and a joyful declaration of hope and resilience! Lyrics:
You say it’s not true
But can you explain this
I stand in front of you
And I will always exist
I’m a person with a soul
More than girl or boy
This is not about clothes
Or colors or toys
This is not about my friends
Or where I go pee
This is about us
Not just about me
We are kings and we are queens
We are neither plus both and
Where are the words
For the many I am?
We are beyond between
Woman and man
There’s not enough words
For the many I am
For the many I am
The people make a decision
Now the law must agree
Can we change our vision
To love what we see
‘Cause the story keeps unfolding
And all the rules will change
We have always been here
We have a million names
We are kings and we are queens
We are neither plus both and
Where are the words
For the many I am?
We are beyond between
Woman and man
There’s not enough words
For the many I am
We are kings and we are queens
We are neither plus both and
Where are the words
For the many I am?
We are beyond between
Woman and man
There’s not enough words
For the many I am
We are visions, we are dreams
We’ve begun to understand
There’s only one word
For the many I am
For the many I am
For the many I am
