@bohanxu6125

I actually don't quite understand why he is so emotional when he knows about this? It's fine for a person to be mad when he has been through tough situation... but that doesn't explain why he is mad in the first place. The mission control might not want the crews to go back and help him, so they didn't tell the crew he is alive. Does Mark wants the crews to go back to help him? I feel like he is selfless enough to want the screws to go back to earth instead of risking everyone while saving him. If so, then why is he pissed? just because of a lack of transparency?... but that's such a small issue compared to the successful flight-back of the crews.

@@Ryvaken "and now he's had no contact with anyone for months" He has been in contact with earth for a while at that point. I mean I even know some people who would be mostly in his room for month with minimal physical present of other people around them. It's not that big of a deal, compared to the importance of other issues around the astronaut. "people who matter the most to him are mourning his death, are being lied to. " If lying to those people is the best way to protect them, then I don't think lying to them is such a big deal. This isn't a true representation of NASA though. There is no history that this movie is trying retell. And even it it was, like Apollo 13, I wouldn't use a movie made by Hollywood to make statements like that. Cause Apollo 13, even though it held true to history, was dramatized for the everyday viewer. There are plenty of documentaries out there that detail how calm everyone was, how there was no fight between Swigert and Hayes, and other cinematic details that Hollywood added in for excitement.

The best thing about this scene is that if you know about Hollywood censorship, they allow two utterances of the f-word in a PG-13 movie, but Mark had already said it twice before this (once after he operates on himself, the second time while building his farm), so when the camera cuts to the outside of the rover to mute his swearing, he technically didn’t say the f-word a third or fourth time!

😂😂😂 You know those amazing moments in a movie theatre were the audience all together just pisses themselves laughing.... When Matt says "Yeah?" We all knew and laughed hard.

The fact these three guys were in Marvel makes it funnier. Matt Damon was an Actor during Loki/Odin play.

He had every right to be pissed off... Not telling the crew was a typical bureaucratic decision that ignored the crew bonds and dynamic and the administrator had to wear that one on his hat for all time in front of the whole world.

The movie is about a guy on mars and this is probably still the most unrealistic scene. There would definetly be 5 PR people around if they really broadcast this live.
