To watch. H. M R M Band marching to Colonel bogey fills me with pride. What a fantastic display of marching band music. There is not a band to equal the. Royal Marines. None

I can listen to a British massed band all day just playing marches. "Glorious Victory" is one of my favorite marches and love it when a massed band plays it. Are there any other marches by Kendall? Thanks for posting...made my day!

Spiffing video as usual!! Fantastic selection of marches! Although 'Trafalgar' wins, as it's my favorite!
@@soudelor9912 All of it! Lol! I'd say 3:43 is the best, but I can't as all of the march is fantastic!

So glad you got this video. I was also at beating retreat but I didn’t get to the end of horse guards road in time to cross over. My cousin is also one of the drummers in the band.

Can anyone explain why the drummers wear animal skins as a part of their costumes?
@tubthumper92
8 ай бұрын
In the days of the Empire, the hierarchy of the time were so enamoured by the striking appearance of the drummers of Africa and India that they wished for their own bandsmen to emulate the look. Rest assured all skins used today are either very old (some over 100 years), or are taken from animals that have died in captivity.

@bensteel3944 My pleasure - I'm the tall hag in the leopard skin. If you watch the beating retreat from 2022, I'm the same tall hag but this time doing my best tiger impression!
