for those wondering, young sheldon apparently did have an origin for bazinga. the story goes that he wants to get practical joke toys so he can be funny. hes looking at the racks for them and with suspenseful horror music the camera pans up to reveal the toy brand is called bazinga. their slogan is 'if its funny, its got to be a bazinga™!' no i am not making this up

@@michaela765 and GOD no, i think that would finally drive me completely insane lol!! here’s how the sausage gets made, if anyone’s interested in making their own compilations: i use podscripts, which is a searchable database of podcast transcripts, and look up any keywords that i think might be relevant to the topic i want to make a supercut of. for example, when i was making this video i looked up “big bang theory,” “sheldon,” and “bazinga” and found episodes in which the boys talked about big bang theory substantially. (i also doublechecked with the mbmbam wiki and official maxfun/mcelroy family transcripts to make sure i wasn’t missing anything.) i then listened to the appropriate bits and judged if they were cool enough to go in a comp. unfortunately podscripts uses software to generate transcripts and i’m pretty sure no human actually looks them over, so there may be bits that i missed or that other people would have wanted me to include so that’s the veil!! sorry to have pulled it back haha!

@mousesketches

okay, i was curious and did some research, but even when the episode was recorded in 2021 there were apparently already several documented inconsistencies between big bang theory and young sheldon. for example, sydnee could've been talking about a whistle that sheldon received as a gift in the original show, or the first time sheldon read a comic book, or sheldon reading dale carnegie's how to win friends and influence people, OR sheldon's whole-ass age. like short of asking her or justin there's no fucking way to tell. now i know way more about big bang theory than i ever wanted to know and i also found out that there's a recurring minor character in young sheldon named mrs. macelroy

As someone who has unfortunately seen a lot of big bang theory I can tell you that it breaks its own continuity like all the time so it really doesn’t matter lol
