There are two meanings of Original Sin:
1) The first sin and fall of Adam and Eve in the Book of Genesis
2) The consequence of this sin is humanity's fallen state and separation from God and tendency toward personal sin
We can use the term Original Sin to describe the events in Genesis 2-3 that details the Fall and how and why Adam and Even personally sinned.
Here are the consequences of Adam and Eve's Original Sin:
1) Death
2) Suffering
3) Inclination toward sin (concupiscence)
We are, therefore, born with the consequences of Original Sin.
This doesn't make us sinful or bad. Being born with Original Sin simply means we are born in need of God's sanctifying grace. It is this grace that he imparts through the death and resurrection of his son.
That sanctifying grace defeats death and reunites us with God. What remains is a tendency we have towards sin and the separation from God through personal sin. This is why we need God's habitual grace.
