I think the caught megaldon was it's infant, and it came to remove it from the boat. I haven't seen any of the reactors that have watched this catch the name of the dog "pippin" in this movie and the lady calling his name over and over again from Jaws when the guy in thecyellow shirt was calling for his dog pippin. When I first saw this in the theater, it tickeled me that they used it as a comedic call back to Jaws.

Let's be real, we only one we ever cared about surviving was the dog. This and _Deep Blue Sea_ are easily the best shark movies that aren't _Jaws,_ a movie I can just have fun with. Based on the 1997 novel of the same name by Steve Alten. It took them 20 years to make this movie happen, as a lot of directors were considered for helming the project, including Guillermo Del Toro, Eli Roth, and Jan De Bont.

I definitely needed to revisit this, I was a bit harsh on my first comment saying Tara should have been paired with someone else, I didn’t mean anything negative towards Andrew, I really enjoy him and his reactions with cobra kai, it was very different seeing him with Tara and I gave up after 5 minutes, but I sat down and watched the whole thing and I actually enjoyed it, Greg warned us at first and I was just an ass about it, but it actually worked, I really enjoyed their reaction, I enjoyed the takes and commentary they both had on on it. It as great it was funny, I had a good time watching, my only gripe with this movie is ruby rose being in it and looking strung out as hell, and so I loved Andrews reaction to not even really being familiar with her at the beginning

What killed Su Yens father was internal bleeding because he got hit by a heavy object as the boat was sinking. Also yes sharks are mostly opportunistic feeders rather it be a rotten dead whale or another shark they will eat it if it means an easy fast and fullfilling meal with little to no energy usage. Btw now you guys need to watch Meg 2. The little girl is in it (shes older obviously) and shes just as amazing. Also, Jason is in it as well as pretty much everyone who survived in this first one (cept for one character but thats somewhat explained in the 2nd) edit: posted this before i fount you watched it lol. During one dive I was in I got the jump scare of my life when a newborn great white pup no bigger than 6 feet came out of nowhere. We were in murky water where you could not see anything past a outstretched hand which gave the shark the added advantage but even in clearer water you'd be surprised just how often people have been around big sharks like great whites and never even had a clue they were there.

Based on a series of books I knew of prior to it's film adaptation. Also Jason Statham's biggest film as an leading man. Saw it in IMAX and loved every minute of it. It's JAWS on Steroids, no doubt about it. Some people were so quick to hate on it for 'Trying to be like JAWS" and by no means necessary is it trying to be. The supporting cast, special effects and set pieces are pretty good. Scenes of characters trying to get away from or fight this monster is either thrilling or hilarious. This is just a really expensive B-movie. Of all the other hundreds of shark-related movies they got made and released, it gets no bigger than this (literally, figuratively). I just saw Part 2 aka The Trench. Not too bad. Longer running time than the first. It has more suspense and humor than the first film.
