It sounds as if this could be played during an especially gripping RPGmaker version of the album’s story

Is it ment to sound like a heart beat!? If so that is so cool!

i realized the reversed kick drum in the little sound collage section of the original kinda sounded like a heartbeat, so i tried to do that too!

This is stupidly underrated, Really love how "punchy" this version is. Really solid instrument choice and you managed to capture the atmosphere of the original song extremely well. I especially love how you decided to add MORE distorted segments than the original, that's not something I see many covers opting to do.

Thank you!! I really tried to capture the chaos of the original that really tickles my brain lol :3

Ah yes, the good ol "call anything I like underrated so I feel special for liking it" move. Even more meaningless word than overrated.

@@RenSako I never claimed to feel more special for liking it, I am claiming that it deserves more recognition because it was good content that had effort put in. If I came off that way I’m sorry

Came up with an animation. Probably should pause to read before the first timestamp and then listen until 5:42 with the story in mind. You do whatever tho. 5:09 The camera zooms in on the main characters face, the screen slowly darkening with each heartbeat. (dream) 5:12 The main character is a child at the vet now holding a strangers hand. They watch as their sweet pet dog is dragged out of a cage, about to be put down by a vet. (flashback) 5:16 The child is curled up in a large chair, watching a black and white TV show in a large, dark, fancy living room. The TV is the only thing illuminating the place, and we see only the back of the chair, not the childs face. 5:24 The child hears a scream from outside and, frightened as they are, grab a flashlight and go out into the dark woods to investigate. They seem almost comically small againt the towering walls of the house and trunks of the trees. 5:30 They find a trail of blood, which only grows thicker and darker the more they follow it. They are now terrified, and wish Father was there to protect them. Still, they power on. 5:37 They find something. They notice Father first, laying face down on the ground. Maybe it's for the better that we cannot see his face. He appears fatally wounded. 5:40 They notice their sweet pet dog next, tearing through Fathers clothes and into his flesh. He screams. It is not a normal scream. Both dog and child know that this is not Father. This is something else entirely. Wake. up. (end)

@praisedrays
2 ай бұрын
I actually directly sampled the voices from the original TME instrumental, so heres what I assume youre talking abt (hopefully this is helpful lol) :D - ganon's laugh from zelda 2 - the "see how they fall" backing vocals from the bridge - "well i too, besides you think im man enough to-" - the "axon dendrite/help me" sample is in there - "you ought to be ashamed of yourself" - Alan Ladd in Box 13: Shanghaied (if you look up the original, theres a comment with the timestamp of the part that is used here) transcription of that ^ : "Oh, Suzy." "Yes, a sloop! Then they sail off and dump you on the beach in Timbuktu." "They couldn't sail off and dump me on the beach in Timbuktu." "Why not?" "Timbuktu happens to be in the middle of the Sahara Desert." "Oh." "Yes, oh. And please tie an anchor to that imagination of yours." "Okay, Mr. Holiday, but if you wind up on the other side of the world, please don't write me a letter about your voyage." "No?" "No. Just reading about the ocean makes me seasick." - Apology by Plato (read by Bob Neufeld, the sample is like 17 minutes in) transcription of that ^ : "Then I knew, that not by wisdom do poets write poetry, but by a sort of genius and inspiration. They are like diviners and soothsayers, who also say many fine things, but do not understand the meaning of them."
