Wow now we have designed a propeller well actually you have designed it but impressive especially to someone as a beginner. Thanks

Hi. I want to thank you for making this video, but how do we know if the propeller has the correct cuvature? It seems to me that this propelller could be stalling and not work well. I can not really find any good resource on the correct shape here and how to analyze if angles will create thrust and not just push water to its sides.

Thanks. I made the video to illustrate the workflow in Onshape; by no means is this a design tested by real-life engineering principles!

@@cademist thanks. Yeah it's wasn't that clear given the title of crafting the perfect boat propeller ;) but none the less, it's the best using OnShape - and thanks for that. Made a really nice one from this guide but I'll have to run it through some fluid analyzer to see if it is likely to work ok.

Another question. How would one achieve more of an airfoil (a propeller is after all a wing where we try to create thrust and not lift sidewards) shape and a rake angle? Meaning that the propeller has the normal 15% angle backwards.

interesting question! I would like to know myself. I know there is a feature script on airfoils freely available, but I have not used it.
