Anytime you have Rich Catino and Chris Alo in an episode, you know it's going to be great. Rich's model at the beginning is awe-inspiring. And this was a great video. I am not a fan of the slasher flicks, but I watch these for Chris Alos's contributions. He is always great. Pete, as always, keeps everything together.

Black Christmas was the third scary movie I ever saw after Halloween and When a Stranger Calls. I like that it's got the "call is coming from inside the house" thing going on. Not sure if it is true but I heard that it was banned from a lot of theatres and got a smaller release because the ted bundy killings were going on ? Maybe that contributed to it having cult status and not a wider audience. The story with it being a sorority house was too similar to the bundy cases.

1 - Jason Voorhees 2 - Michael Myers 3 - Chucky 4 - Leatherface 5 - Them 3 crazy ass cannibalistic things from the "Wrong Turn" series. I include all 3 of them together because they're always working together and plotting the kills together. 6 - The whole "Firefly" family. They all work together to fuck you up. 7 - Hannibal Lecter 8 - Freddy Krueger 9 - Leprechaun 10 - Rusty Nail I kind of left movies alone if there was only a couple in the series but that guy in those two "Rest Stop" movies is pretty damn brutal. Pennywise and Pinhead are awesome as well. Oh, and Mick Taylor in those two "Wolf Creek" movies was twisted as fuck! I also liked a couple of the "Scream" movies but didn't feel it fit because it was a different killer in the same costume. That creepy ass Supernatural girl/thing/whatever from "The Grudge" always creeped me the fuck out, but didn't think it quite fit the topic.

"Phantasm", "Tourist Trap", and "The Funhouse" are some of my favorite horror films of all time. Glad you guys picked the villains in those films. I love "Halloween 3 Season of the Witch" too, so the character Conal Cochran would be in my list too. My honorable mentions include: "The Headless Eyes" artist Arthur Malcom. After losing one of his eyes he becomes obsessed with eyes and starts killing people, cuttng out their eyes and making art pieces with them. "Wizard of Gore's" Montag character is pretty crazy too.

This is why I love this channel. An episode like this, and the next day could be talk about Sabbath/Kiss, then the next day could be comics books. Love it!. As far as this episode, Michael Myers is by far my favourite villain, and one that truly scared me as a kid. But strangely, other than the 1978 original, The 1981 sequel, and the 2018 movie (which I love) I really can’t stomach the rest of the series as I think the rest are pure shit. Jason is probably my 2nd favourite, but I think Friday is by far the better franchise. For me, the arse didn’t start to fall out of Friday till part 8. I’m in my early 50s now. I find the older I get, the softer I get. I can’t do the gore like I used to lol. Anybody else have that, or have I just gone soft? I saw the opening scene of the new Saw spinoff, and I’m like, yeah I’m gonna have to pass...

I saw Texas Chainsaw in the theatre in either ‘79 or ‘80. A cool thing about that time period was the re- release of great films in later years. (Halloween) I think the move going experience for a film like this is irreplaceable. Needless to say I was terrorized and probably never so scared in an actual theatre.

There were movies that came out in the States prior to Texas Chainsaw Massacre that were equally if not more brutally violent and gory, such as "The Last House on the Left" (1972), the underrated "Pigs (aka Daddy's Deadly Darling)" (1973) and "Three On a Meathook" (1972), among several others.

Another terrific episode from the Trio of Terror. In awe of Rich's diorama shown at the beginning. Great work, Rich. Enjoyed everyone's selections - particularly with so few overlaps - so once again, plenty of movies to seek and watch. Continued episodes of The Monster's Den are always a treat. And there is the seemingly bottomless well of Chris' knowledge of these movies - both the popular and obscure. Kudos to all three of you for another entertaining episode and many thanks for the time you spent preparing for our entertainment.

The scariest character I have ever seen in any movie, is Dennis Hopper as Frank Booth in Blue Velvet. He scared the crap out of me, maybe because I had met a couple of people in real life who were a bit like him. My second favourite villain is Heath Ledger's Joker.
