The male gaze in Western art: Berger argues that traditional Western art is based on a particular way of seeing that is inherently male and patriarchal. He claims that the idealized female body in art is a reflection of a larger societal power imbalance, where men are the dominant figures and women are objectified and subjugated. For example, in classical art, women are often depicted as passive, idealized objects of male desire, such as in Titian's "Venus of Urbino," where the female figure is positioned to be looked at and admired by male viewers. - way of seeing by John Berger ( did research on this few days back ) you can read his book in dept if you’re interested.

The Ass Exhibition at LGDR is so modern and the Jenny Savile makes Lucien Freud's late work look tame, as though he'd painted it while chained to the wall in Francis Bacon's basement

I disagree with you Mary on the first exhibit when you said that it is feminist art work, it is not. Those painting is more sexualized, where all her painting is orgasmic. The feminist is against sexualize women in any way shape or form. The first exhibit is more lesbianism where the women artist have feeling of pleasure for females.

Beautiful video as usual. I was curious if you have an uncensored version? It would be nice to see all the work. I’m assuming you censored it out of concern that KZitem would blow it? Anyway, thanks for providing us with the vicarious thrill of seeing these beautiful works in these beautiful spaces.

Yes, it does look as if KZitem is censoring some of the works, which is very annoying. Presumably it's legal to hang it on the wall for people to see, yet the authoritarian Stalinist KZitem blurs it so we can't see it. 11:31 plenty of UNcensored nudity. I think I should expand the description to be Stalinist, authoritarian *AND* self-contradictory.

I didn't want to risk KZitem pulling the video so I went the conservative route. Algorithms don't easily distinguish between art and purposefully explicit content

@Mary Lynn Buchanan I kinda figured that's what was happening, so I just went to the Gallery website and Googled the artists. The uncensored artwork is there. We can't risk all the Karens and Kens spilling blood on the carpet..🤣

If they're open, you can just stop by. An appt shouldn't be necessary unless the gallery clearly states that on their website.
