Once again, we are woken up by the sun's rays in the camp, and a beautiful sunny day with azure skies is ahead of us. We decided to rent bikes - we'll let Passerati rest at the campsite.
DAY 3 | After a shower and breakfast, we don't wait and go to Google maps to look for a bike rental - there are 3-4 that are worth mentioning and after about 15 minutes we are already sitting on our bikes and looking forward to today's adventures.
After a quick stop at the campsite, we will go to the south of the Hel peninsula, where there is also a town called - who would have guessed - Hel. We pass through the village of Jurata and since there are still a few hours left, we decide to lie on the beach. We'll stop at local food and take a path between beautiful pines and cross the rails to reach the Baltic Sea. We park our bikes and jump into the cold sea.
The water is of course - cold. However, when you move, you are not cold. Comparable to our lake, where we used to spend whole summers - Šútovo, so the cold water cannot throw us off.
We go back to the cycle path and we are captivated by the most beautiful thing that we think can be seen on the Hel peninsula - an incredibly beautiful and sun-drenched pine forest. In my opinion, it looks and feels one of the most picturesque places in all of Europe. It is difficult to describe it in words - when you are there, you feel something special - peace and energy at the same time. So the bike ride through such a beautiful place was an unforgettable experience for us.
We reach the city of Hel, where we are hungry, so we jump into a bistro and taste the local specialty - Platsa - a fish with crooked eyes and a smile :). But it tasted very good - luckily we didn't have a crooked smile or eyes from it.
Finally, we reach our main destination - the pier, where we went to find out about the boat that will transport us from Hel directly to the center of Gdańsk on the 4th day - by the way, a beautiful city with diverse architecture.
Afterwards, the journey back to Jastarnia awaits us, again through the most beautiful pine forest - moreover during the golden hour, which enhances our experience even more.
At night we went to a party - at entrance 49 (Wejście 49) and that's where our journey ends today. Enjoy it with us.
