This is actually a thing called a Lavender Marriage. Could never understand how somebody could continuously back a religion 100 percent despite it going against such a big part of their lifestyle yet stick with said religion anyways and then have to hide who you really are and basically lives this double life in a faux relationship based on your exact opposite sexual preferences just to uphold some bullshit rules of a certain religion. People should live life the way the want to and do what makes them happy. I don't see any purpose in following strict guidelines of a mormon religion if you dont fully agree with them and you were born with an unchangeable lifestyle that the religion says is totally wrong... Like just dont be a fuckin mormon then... Or be a mormon and practice everything else that mormons preach, but date guys and be gay if you want to... I just cant fathom blindly following these rules and restrictions if i just didnt agree with them at all. People need to do what makes them happy, LIVE LIFE HOW YOU WANNA LIVE IT, you only get one and it goes by pretty fast.

Conversion therapy: Guy finally finishes his therapy, abused, and scared of his own sexuality; but not cured. He thinks "Why didn’t it work on me, it should‘ve worked, it worked on everyone else, so I‘ll just pretend it worked“. This guy is every guy from that therapy. They all think they are the only one it didn’t work on and won’t admit that it didn’t, so therapy seems like a success on the outside, while the guys live on, miserably, deeply scarred, trying to reach the unreachable to uphold what is socially expected from them.

Enjoyable depends on context, if the other words are great, amazing then enjoyable, the words generally mean: sexlife quality: great, sex: amazing, and feeling: enjoyable (ie something like "I legitimately enjoy what we have together", in this context it comes as a grounding word, and can convey that the sex life is more than just a surface thing that's sometimes amazing but also an activity that you actually enjoy doing.

I'm a bi dude who was raised by mormons, the conversion therapy is a real and genuinely scary thing. Within the church, after you come out, the environment is so scary and hostile because it's very obvious that your acceptance is conditional on your ability to perform "normally." I was twelve when I first came out, the abuse within the home, from "therapists," and within the church is a horrible and dangerous force. stories like Jeff's are presented at the best outcome. Yes you can acknowledge that you're gay, but you have to still enter into a straight marriage. The ultimate goal of the church is to gain more followers to gain more power and money, and followers are literally told that it's their responsibility to "multiply and replenish the earth." I'm serious, you can search it on their website, it's the responsibility of all members. you can see the thinly veiled discussion of conversion therapy on the church-made website mormonandgay.lds.org . it's a dangerous cult of thinking and it directly leads to the deaths of a lot of children by suicide. not just gay kids, either. The mormon cult has a problem with "perfection politics" that lead to people not feeling good enough about themselves and KILLING THEMSELVES over it. It's fucking disgusting and sad that they're being given such a high platform.

Klein Martin The Church has recently pushed using the full and proper name rather than the misnomer “Mormon.” I believe that’s what CC Productions was trying to point out. But yeah, you’re totally right. The video says “Mormon.” He could have been more polite in the way he corrected it too. But in his defense, religion is a very personal matter, and it’s hard to not be subconsciously offended when someone challenges your beliefs.

ThisChannelIsDead because in Utah land of mormons, what many families do is don’t sin in any way, no drinking, caffeine, or masturbating, and the second you graduate you go on a two year long trip to a random part of the world, where you probably don’t even speak the language, to convert people with no contact with anyone until Christmas or Mother’s Day, then return and marry someone as soon as possible and stay with that person no matter what, even abuse, and have as many kids as possible( often around 10-15, but usually closer to five.) I’ve known people who have been disowned if they didn’t go on a mission. It is drilled so deep in his mind he doesn’t even realize it

Everyone saying they're bisexual-- yall are missing the point that they forced themselves into marrying a woman because of their religion. This is the product of conversion therapy, and whether they were bisexual or not, this isn't healthy. Besides, this is not the representation you want. Please do some critical thinking before you try and write off this behavior as anything but destructive, not only to them, but to any young queer kid watching this thinking that if they just force themselves to change they can.

@5tinygrapes

@@gottesurteil3201 I think when you get down to brass tacks... Yeah, it is ultimately their choice. The main problem is that people usually don't just chose this of their own volition, it's usually someone or something pressuring them into it. Usually as kids. But, at this point, they're adults, and even if it's sad it doesn't effect anyone-- except, actually it does, because this is televised, and some people who are more close-minded might see this and think "oh my gay kid might have a better life if I send them to conversion therapy" which. Isn't true, it's actually really damaging. Tldr; yeah it's ultimately their choice except this is televised and in its own weird way might promote conversion therapy for kids which... Is not ideal.
