A friend of mine bought the MC2C recently. It feels GREAT at the range. For how small it is, there's no compromise on shootability. Recoil is somehow less aggressive than Glock 19. Only real downside is the availability of mags. They're out there, but you'll have to spend some time finding them, and you're definitely not going to find them on sale.

For those that don't know, guns that use "Beretta 92 style" magazines are usually interchangeable with other guns, a simple cut or two from a dremel tool on the mag body will allow it to be used in another gun. There are modification videos on youtube showing it being done. Taurus Milpro/G2/G3, M&P, Springfield XD, Sig P226, Beretta 92, Canik, etc. all share similar mags. Food for thought with all the new laws being proposed/passed.
@raykettel1837
Жыл бұрын
One issue I discovered with the Beretta 92 style mags is the shape of the curve of the mag on the bullet end is extended wider with a sharper curve. The Canik, Sig P226 and Taurus mags have a more rounded curve. The Beretta mags will not insert all the way into my G3c unless they are inserted such that one pushes the mag in with it angled away from the mag catch. I confirmed at a LGS that the mag I bought is identical to the mag that comes with a Beretta and confirmed that the mag I bought inserts without issue into a Beretta firearm. For a range toy I might overlook this issue but not for a conceal carry firearm. I returned the mag for store credit. I bought 12-round G3c mags for $20 each during a July 4th sale last summer and bought two 15-round G3c mags from Shop Taurus website during one of their 20% off sales. So even though the 18-round Beretta 92 mags from Lanbo's Armory are under $20 I don't want a mag that may get hung up on mag catch under a high stress situation.

Didn’t even know this pistol existed. I find myself carrying the Ruger LCP Max now more often then not. There are a few reasons for that and one is for extremely deep concealment that has to be a must. I ended up with a random ban state mag for my 365XL I live in a non restricted state and have plenty of mags so I thought I would try something I pulled the guts out of the mag and used my drill press and some cutting oil to drill those mag dimples out I knocked the burs off the inside with a file (dremel with a longer arbor would work better) and it works fine.

Great review. What you carry, why you carry it and the features it has all within 10min. I'm not changing from my SW Shield Plus but the Mossberg looks like a very good option.

This mossberg mc2c is the gun I own and I love it, not to heavy, good grip, and double stack magazine and easy take down for cleaning. the only thing it doesn't have is the cut out for dot sights, they didn't have that option when I baught it.

This might piss off everyone but bersa makes the bp9cc, which is essentially a Glock 43 for around 300$ last time I checked. The trigger is better than any Glock I’ve ever shot. I got mine used for 185$ before Covid. Great gun. Bersa’s are also a good value like mossberg. Not made in America like mossberg however. Also the maverick 88 is a great value if you want a pump 12 ga for home defense.

I have the MC2sc and just Love it. A soft shooter compared to my other Micro's, even with + P Ammo. Mossberg thought this Pistol out very well even deleting the " Witness Hole " on top of the Barrel to help keep Your Optic Clean. Aftermarket things are a pain to find sometimes, I just bought a Holster and Pinky Extensions for my 11 Round Magazines on ebay so now I'm good to go. I'm glad it will take the MC2C Magazines too so I'll pick up some 16 Rounders for Range Day ( When they're back in Stock ). Always enjoy your content, Thank you !

Totally understand the point you are making with the "ready package" idea. I agree. I do not see weapons as this "project" where you have to buy it, send them to this manifacturer, buy that custom part, install it and double the price of it just to discover you still need to pay for accsessories to have the perfect gun you wanted. Instead i'd much rather buy full built guns where you just buy an optic, a torch, a sling/holster and it's ready. Especially if everything is available on the market with basically zero waiting time. Because here is the big problem: what if that gun breacks, or is lost, or i want multiple of them in different locations because now i am proficient with it and i can trust it.

Do the MC2sc. Original MC1SC had chamber issue because the recoil spring was not pretensioned at full length. Easily fixed with $30 aftermarket eBay G43 recoil spring with full strength pretension at full length.

Nice presentation. I've never handled one. This is the first review I've watched. I started into the concealed carry with the LC9, and immediately traded in on a P365. I'm a dozen P365 deep now, and still trying to make it perfect. I tried the small Glocks. No. (And I own a lot of Glocks) Taking a bet on my favorite shotgun manufacturer to get a micro9 isn't intuitive. Hell, I'll try one after work sometime this week.

If you want to go the route of a custom 43x/48 I cant recommend Battle Ready Arms enough. You can buy the gun from him and configure it however you want. Slide milling, trigger, red dot, stippling, grip reshaping ect. I got the exact carry piece i wanted WITH a holosun 407k for just over $1000.

I've been into guns more than 5 years and have learned ammo prices spike every so many years. It is for this reason that I don't want a carry gun that doesn't have a 22lr analogue. Ammo during spikes just cost soo much and the spikes last soo long; using the more affordable 22lr is the only way I've found to get through

It would be nice if Mossberg started selling mags for the things. They’re constantly sold out on their website and with every seller that offers them. Bluegun just came out with holster molds for the MC2sc, so you should start seeing more options soon. I make holsters for this gun, and until recently I have had to make them by pressing my carry gun.

In the summer, I carry the MC2SC, and my wife carries the MC1SC. We love these pistols. The holsters are a little harder to come by, but the DeSantis isn't horrible, and Crossbread makes a decent 4 o'clock. I greatly prefer these to glocks and I like the trigger better than the SIG. Best part is, these are inexpensive firearms, that are high quality. They are on special from time to time too, so you can land one for really cheap. Nice to see these pistols getting some love.

I find that a longer barrel is easier to conceal AIWB, as it seems less likely to try and flip forward and print when you move around, especially standing up from sitting. I have this issue with my P365X, but much less so with my G19, 1911 Commander, and Staccato P

"For my money, grip length is the hardest thing to conceal and reducing the width of a gun mostly just translates to increased comfort." Exactly! I ended up going with a G26. I think it's the sweet spot between concealability, comfort, and most importantly, shootability.

dang. Ive been very torn between a sig365 and glock43x for my carry gun, now I get to add this to the list of contenders. I am apprehensive on carrying as i just don't think it is as hidden as people like to claim - i can usually spot when my friends or even strangers are carrying despite their claims. The problem is I hate it when my hand "overflows" and hangs past the end of the grip on smaller guns. what a curse
