Ingredients for fish salad, Pike with Potatoes, Garlic Mayonnaise, and Fresh Herbs:
- 1 kg of potatoes boiled in salted water;
- 1.5 kg pike, or any other fish you desire;
The fish is cleaned and washed well, then sliced (see video), and boiled for 10-12 minutes with:
- 2 liters of boiling water;
- 10-12 g of salt;
- stems from the herb bunches (see video);
- 2 tablespoons of vinegar (maintains meat firmness and softens the bones);
Ingredients for garlic mayonnaise:
- 1 hard-boiled egg, only the yolk is used;
- 1 raw egg, only the yolk is used;
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt, or to taste;
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper, or to taste;
- 1 teaspoon good mustard;
- 3-4 tablespoons of lemon juice, or to taste;
- approx. 300 ml sunflower oil;
- 10-12 cloves of garlic, finely chopped with 1/2 teaspoon of salt;
The salad is arranged in layers, boiled and sliced potatoes, garlic mayonnaise (a good spoonful), herbs (2 bunches of parsley + 1 bunch of dill) divided according to the number of layers.
Finally, it is topped with a final layer of garlic mayonnaise and plenty of herbs.
