Instead of ordering chicken, which would be a safe choice, you ordered something that you admitted had sounded wrong even before you tasted it, so definitely you had your preconceptions. Then, you said it looked gross. Umm, what did you expect to see? Bright, fresh, crunchy pieces of pineapple? Do you like supermarket cakes covered with eye-popping industrial paint? Natural cooked food does not have high-contrast color. I guess, you should have stressed softness and oiliness instead of color. Still, a fun video!

Great video and some very fair points about Delta's shortcomings which I completely agree with. Also fun fact I recently discovered that a few of Delta's former 777-200LRs have ended up being picked up by Air India who decided keep the Delta One Suites cabin so I guess Delta of all people helped give Air India a much needed cabin upgrade which is quite ironic IMO 😂

Regarding the tech that pushes the notification that your bags been loaded before the plane arrives, you’re not wrong. That trigger works better when your bag is scanned into a bulk cargo bin, which happens planeside, usually as your bag is going up the belt into the plane. You experienced that trigger when your bag was in the bag room of the terminal and someone scanned it and threw it into the container that would eventually be loaded onto your aircraft. It would be an easy and effective fix for delta to push that notification when the container gets positioned in the cargo hold, which would happen planeside within 40 minutes of departure. I assume a wide array of Delta upper-middle management read your comments sections, so this should clear that up.

As a platinum medallion, delta has gotten worse in 2022/2023. From weird food options in first class to raising ticket prices and cutting down on quality of services like no more fresh food for purchase on flights that are 900+ miles (the food was actually good despite it only being cold sandwiches, cheese plates, and wraps.) the only thing main cabin gets on those flights are those junky snack boxes. Also i will add delta is very inconsistent in first class with their meals. Sometimes you will get a plated hot meal and sometimes you will STILL get a "covid" meal box which feels like a f*** you to first class passengers. You have every right to call delta out!

FWIW, the free Delta wifi is from ViaSat-2, but they don't have coverage over the Pacific. Should have started this year but their new satellite's antenna (ViaSat-3) failed to deploy. So likely the 767s will have the old NoGo wifi since that at least provides coverage (albeit not cheaply for passengers). But yeah, that food looked terrible. Honestly hard to defend Delta these days, especially with the SkyMiles changes.

Hi there, I’m looking to book the exit row economy seats for my upcoming trip in a B767-300 as well. However, after some research many people on the forum are saying the exit row seats are less padded and feel sitting on a metal bench… How was your experience with the cushion on the exit row seat? It’s going to be a 10+ hours flight for me and I’m not sure if it’s worth it to sacrifice some seating comfort for the extra legroom.

It's easy to make an airline look bad when you make a video specifically designed to portray it in a negative manner and avoid talking about the positives. You wonder why Delta was consistently ranked the best airline in America for several years in a row? Of course you wonder why because you choose to ignore the good parts. Stop making biased content like this.

I sincerely apologize for upsetting you and your love of a 33 billion dollar corporation! My intention was not to be negative. I praised the crew, favorable layout, and in seat entertainment. In other videos I’ve praised skyclubs and the video on the A220 is basically just a giant love letter to Delta. I’d still fly Delta over American on this route for sure. But do you disagree that the new app is a buggy mess? That’s the consensus on flyertalk. And if you think that meal was appealing, then I don’t know what to say. Ditto with the interior of the A319 following this flight coming apart. I’m happy to have a further discussion, but we need facts grounded in reality rather than feelings.

@@Travelog But to me it seemed like you were expressing feelings more so than facts. The thing is, I've flown this exact same aircraft, twice, and both times it was a great experience. Maybe your flight just so happened to not be the best, but that doesn't mean that every single Delta 767 flight is like this. Also what was the point of addressing the fact that they're a 33 billion dollar corporation? That sounded like sarcasm to me...

Tbh, I’m not a delta fan, far from it due to the points you made in your previous videos. But, I wanted to know your opinions on the matter of the changes that were made to the skymiles program where they are going by money spent instead of amount of miles flown and money spent
@Travelog

So I filmed, edited and uploaded this video before the changes. In short, they tried to copy American’s playbook, but they didn’t have the same easy ways of loyalty points through other spend. Earn on the Amex cards is pitiful. I’m planning a video about American status next year (since I got Plat Pro for free) and I’ll likely bring up Delta then, assuming they are done for 2024. But expect the draconian changes eventually, as the CEO said they “moved too fast.”

Huh, I liked the food in (in business at least) on Fiji, but I did explicitly say that I thought it likely was polarizing and not to "Western" tastes. Can't comment about your food but I can imagine!

I fly transatlantic once or twice year. I really don’t know how Delta achieved such a good reputation - I think United is far better. American is in a whole other category of crap. P.S. From Hawaii, Hawaiian Airlines has way better service than any other U.S. carrier, but I guess that wasn’t an option for you.

They are slightly less padded, and you also loose the armrest by the window, and they don’t recline. Personally I’m ok with that and pick exit rows for the legroom, but to each their own!
