If you take requests, it'd be very cool to see a list of ways to manipulate action economy-- haste/speed potion, action surge, spell quickening, hold person/monster, proning enemies, etc... there may be too many for this to be a reasonable request, but I'm sure there are ways I'm missing and would love to learn about

one time i tried wild magic sorcerer. freshly respecd my tav to try it out in honor mode since im already a tempest sorc. went to last light inn to get ready for karniss. casted mage armor on my self, fire burst out of me and the harpers hate me now. kinda hope theres special dialogue to wild magic sorcerers in friendly areas to talk your way out of wild magic "accidents". lets just say Quartermaster Tali perfected the art of inflation after that whole debacle

A lot of people love Paladin but I wasn't one of them. I found the play style boring. You rush a high priority target and smite them to death as fast as possible. It's like a more complex Barbarian. I hated the immobility of the class and how demanding it is for high stats in multiple categories. And while multiclassing Paladin can potentially fix the mobility issue, it usually makes it even more stat hungry. I never feel like my Paladin builds are optimized nor are they enjoyable for me. Sorcerer isn't my favorite but I much prefer it over Paladin. Storm Sorcerer is the most optimized subclass (pairs well with Tempest Cleric), Wild Magic Sorcerer is the most fun for the chaotic randomness it adds and draconic sorcerer is the version you pick as a minor multiclass option. You can do some crazy hacking with Sorcerer points. They hit fairly hard and while they don't have as much spell depth as a wizard, they have more spell utility. The only real downside is they are a glass cannon at times. But I enjoyed some of the sorcerer builds I made in the past. My two favorite classes in BG3 are the Bard & Monk. Bards win at dialogue and have some of the best crowd control spells and Monks are extreme mobility assassin ninjas who are deceptively tanky. I really wish that one of the companions started as a monk or a bard, they are so fun to play!

@@lucasbarros822 Multiclassing. I'm still experimenting, but so far I got a Paladin Sorcerer and Barbarian (also Wild Magic) Sorcerer in the front. In the backline I have a Sorcerer Wizard (Divination dip with Circlet of INT for more prepared spells) and a Coffeelock so I can do cleanup work with Eldtrich Blast without risking too much. I haven't played a lot, so some of these have only a single level of Sorcerer so far, but I'm looking forward to theorycrafting more around this concept (specially with Cleric and Druid, maybe a Barbarian Rogue).

A couple of suggestions, if I may. Enhance Ability is awesome on Wild Magic Sorcerers. It provides yet another means to manipulate the dice in your favour. Second, Subtle Spell is uniquely good for Wind Magic Sorcerers in particular, due to unfortunate events. The ability to always cast spells, no matter what, is powerful beyond measure.

@Level 6 Bend Luck: Yes and no, it's amazing in combat. it is a single target bless, but could also be a bane for no Action, no saving throw for applying + it is stackable (at least it was on medium difficulty, please confirm via testing). In fights, I found myself using this to dump all of my remaining sorcery points to create a boss rush for 2 turns toward the end, it's suuuper strong. Had around 8 banes on Ketheric xD

I’m torn on whether to try this class. It seems like it would be equal parts frustrating and hilarious! My nomination for a third feat if using Ethel’s hair would be dual wielder. Halflings don’t have shield proficiency so being able to put a weapon into an empty offhand slot and also get +1 AC is a nice bonus. Rhapsody or the Infernal Rapier would both be great, or otherwise anything that gives you a free cast of a good spell.

Well done on the vid mate. Although I won't be making a new character anytime soon, I know I eventually will (probably once mod support gets implemented), and I want it to be a WM sorc/devotion paladin. Since I've done Act 1 so many times, I'm hoping WM sorc will help the game feel fresh again, especially since I'm not too keen on going past balanced (might dip into tactician, who knows). I greatly appreciate the thoroughness of why you chose what you did and what might work with the subclass. I actually like that you mentioned it being great for scrolls since I tend to carry them just in case already, though I forget often that I have them. In short, very informative vid; I definitely plan to save it for later because of how good it was.

Do you have a video of just like "Hey in act 1 here's all the generic good items, heres the wizard items, sorc items, warlock items, etc etc" and then again for act 2 and act 3. And then a "Here's a generic tactics guide for this boss in honor mode" i like your guides but tbh act 3 in honor mode really isnt that bad, if i make it to act 3 i typically win, act 1 and Myrkul in act 2 are my only real downfalls so watching a couple mins of positioning for level 12 late game, and seeing the act 3 item build just doesn't really help me that much. But I know doing act 1 tips for items and bosses in every build video would become extremely redundant so I was just wondering if there was some standalone video i could reference for act 1 and act 2 boss tips and items

You mentioned a level of wizard or cleric but didn't get back to it. How/where would you implement those?
@jaxsonfanta5420
4 ай бұрын
You would probably need to repel. 1 level of wizard at any level gives that character the ability to “scry scrolls.” As if being able to learn every single scroll you come across for 1 level isn’t broken enough, it doesn’t scale based on the spell casters level, but at the overall level of the character. There’s a pretty big drawback for taking a level of wizard. Wizards use intelligence as their spellcasting modifier, sorcs use charisma. For taking a single level in wizard, your character is now going to use intelligence as their spellcasting modifier until you roll switch to another class whose spell casting modifier is charisma. That’s why respecting and making wizard level 1 is the right play. Clerics are probably the strongest 1st level class in the game, you get the following things: cantrips like guidance, thamaturgy, produce flame, light (which guidance is the best spell in the game,) they then get to pick their subclass, some of which have access to heavy armor and shields (tempest/war cleric,) and several weapon proficiencies; but the other clerics all have at least medium armor and shields. As if that all wasn’t enough, they then get level one cleric spells…. Two of which are some of the best spells in the game (sanctuary and healing word…) and whatever subclass you picked would give you more spells/ir give you things like war priest charges (a free additional attack for your bonus action three times per long rest…). Similar to the wizard: the cleric also has a primary spell casting modifier that isn’t charisma. Wisdom is a clerics spell casting modifier stat, and until you reclass out of cleric and into a class that uses charisma as their spell casting modifier your spells will be hindered until you get back into sorc. So based on what I just said, there’s 2 builds I can think of, one reclasses at level 6, the other at level 7.. the reason you reclass is because the issues of having your spell casting modifier switching is something your character won’t have to deal with that. The level 6 build (as in as soon as you get to level 6 it’s time to go see withers) would be 1 wizard, 1 cleric (tempest probably) and the rest of the game is sorcerer. By becoming a sorcerer last (level 3) the game will see that sorcerer’s use Charisma as their primary spellcasting modifier, so you completely negate the downside of the wizard and cleric in the middle of your journey, and therefor your spell casting won't be hindered. Also because your overall character level is six, you’ll be able to scry scrolls that are 3rd level, so you’ll still be able to get the almighty haste spell. Do note that every spell you have, even if it’s a wizard exclusive spell, can be influenced by the meta magic that’ sorcerers have. Level 1 Wizard, level 2 tempest Cleric (be sure to get guidance/healing word/sanctuary/friends cantrip, ray of frost/minor illusion/light/sheild/magic missle..) and whatever else is fun/good to you, those are just the spells I’d recommend. Why I think level 6 is a good time to respec is because; since the rest of the levels will be sorcerer, you’ll be a sorcerer level 4 with this build, and level 4 you get a feat. The level 7 variation is you take Sorcerer at level 1, and then the exact same build as above. Level 1 Sorcerers get a constitution proficiency that can’t be attained from the above build. That means this build loses concentration less frequently than the level 6 variant… Long winded, but if I had to guess ceramorphosis would have said something similar..

FACTS…. I can attest to how unbelievable that character is. And they’re broken in every DND category (that matters..). Best pickpockers, best faces, solid across the board on skills, theming. And of course, the flourishes make tbis character both one of the tankiest, and hard hitting character from level 3 on. As if they didn’t already have all of that, they are full casters and have a pretty damn good spell list, and still get magical secrets at level 10 making them a strong support/control character as well. Halfling just makes all that stuff land pretty much everytime. It’s actually to broken in my opinion.
