YESSSSSS! This was one of the first technique i learnt accidentally!! It was summer and paper was drying too fast, and I figured out pattern and learnt to use it to my advantage. I think the technique is Best when used in Florals, but I use it to give background a blurred look!! :P

I make detailed coloring pages and then I water color them but it’s all just very dry. The colors come out even and it’s fun but idk. If this is a thing ppl do. Like I make a tiny pallet of sheered color and paint with them and if I want it darker it’s more wet and lighter it’s more dry

What’s the best way to achieve damp?😊
@KristyRice
7 ай бұрын
That’s a tough question to answer. Damp should feel cool to the touch but not leave your finger damp if you touch the page. You would start by painting some color or just clean water and watch it dry… touch it a few times and when it feels as I described, you’re all set!

What paper are you using? When it’s damp there is just a wet sheen you can only see from harsher angles
@AyaSmith
Жыл бұрын
Look for the sheen at an angle. Stand up and use the light to check for a glossy sheen. If there are any puddles, it’s too wet, and if it’s too dry you’ll get cauliflowers. Remember to check at an angle for a thin, glossy sheen - that’s the perfect window.
