Who are YOUR top five most interesting teams in the Eastern Conference?

After watching some pre season the Hornets are an 8th seed. I like the Cavs but Allen and Mobley ain’t cutting it. Bulls are interesting because I see a trade from them. Magic might be a 3 seed. Bucks are gonna flop hard

I actually think Dame will be good this year. I relate it to Kyrie in Dallas. That first half season after the trade did not go well for the team. But Kyrie learned that Luka is the top dog but that there will be times that he will need to be Kyrie and take over. He also realized that for his twam to be best he needed to yield slightly and focus more on team leadership in a different way.
@ALLCITY_NBA

Solid point, and great example of the same thing happening in Dallas with Kyrie. Dame has talked a lot about how hard that transition was for him, it seems really likely they'll be better this year as a result of the continuity.

Kyrie was not bad in Dallas his first 2 months there when he got traded. Check his stats in Dallas when got traded there. the difference is Kyrie is way more efficient than dame. You just noticed how inefficient dame is now because he's not in Portland. Dallas team also had terrible players around Luka and Kyrie. The bucks team was not terrible around dame and Giannas. You just added your own fantasy onto Kyrie's situation in Dallas. He took the same amount of shots when he got traded there to now.
@aaronhall1424

@@terrence8483 I didn’t say that Kyrie wasn’t good. I love having Kyrie on the Mavs. He is more than any Mavs fan could have asked for. My point was that Kyrie had to have some time to learn to play WITH Luka. Yes. The team was not good around the two of them but also he had to learn just what Luka’s magic could do for his game as well. And frankly. Like I said before. It took that 20 some odd games for them to learn to play together. Dame is less efficient but my point was maybe he will learn to Taylor his game to match Giannas’ better just like Luka and Kyrie did for each other.

Gary Trent Jr, Delon, Prince, and multiple of the young guys are capable of guardung the best guys in pick and roll. We were fine last year with our starters with worse players. The bench was the main problem. This year we'll be better. Doubt us and pay the price

Legs is trippin. They have less depth than last season and offensively they don't have more depth than the Sixers. They are definitely good but chill. Embiid, Maxey and PG is a better big 3 than the Knicks big 3. After that The next two guys aren't significantly if at all better than what the sixers can offer. Even the Bucks starting 5 can compare to the Knicks. It's gonna be a fun and competitive season.

I think Towns will be more than fine in New York. If Towns has a bad game, he's got Brunson and Bridges who can more than pick up the slack for him. All Towns had in Minnesota was Edwards who didn't have the ball in his hands. And Towns had the pressure of always been The Man in Minnesota since he got there. Now Towns is just another guy in an extremely talented lineup. If Towns has an off game, the others are expected to pick up for him. And Brunson is The Man in New York. Also, the situation on the court is so much better for Towns with the Knicks. He has another huge element in his game to be successful, the pick and roll with Brunson. Towns doesn't have to be having a great shooting night and still have that all work. More options in New York. If Towns gets double teamed down low, he has multiple guys he is expected to kick it out to - and let them finish they play. And if he doesn't get double teamed because there is too much firepower, Towns is deadly down low when not double teamed. I would be shocked if Towns doesn't come out and have the best year in his career, by far. It's all set up for him in the perfect situation for him.

Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum are NOT superstars. Brown was justifiably left off the Olympic Team and Tatum was justifiably passed over for playing time by better players. For years, Brown was not a game changer in the post season and for years Tatum would come up small in big situations in the playoffs mainly because he wasn't good enough to come up big in those situations. Last year's playoffs were an outlier. Their four biggest contenders - Miami, Philadelphia, Milwaukee and the Knicks in the east were all decimated by injuries in the post season. And, the top teams in the west Denver, Minnesota, and Oklahoma City didn't make it to the finals. Boston had a cakewalk into the title not facing any of the top seven teams in the league and playing a depleted Miami without Butler and then Cleveland, Indiana and Dallas - all teams who were, at best, second round, talentwise. Tatum had no opportunity to choke in a big situation because there were no big situations. And Brown's severe limitations did not get exposed by a top team because they didn't play any. Boston, to me, is, at best, the fourth best team in the East. And, unlike what the pundits think, the Celtics have no superstars on their team while the three other top teams in the East all have at least two.

Celtics, Knicks, Pacers, Magic, Sixers….to pick the Sixers is to ignore injuries that Embiid and George have had each of the past 3 years. To pick the Magic is to ignore the brick fest that they shot vs Cleveland but to not pick them is to discount the KCP effect. To pick the Pacers, you have to ignore the sweep in last years ECF (even if you think they’re better, they’re 4 games better? Come on) but to not pick them is to ignore the fiery offense. The Knicks starting 5 is awesome and they are a true threat to the Celtics but the loss of DiVecenzo forces KAT to be the secondary creator in crunch time. KAT has not proven to be a clutch performer. But to pick them instead of the Celtics is to ignore that the Celtics haven’t lost 3 games straight in over a year and a half
