The explanation that the eating disorder self cannot be more powerful than you because the power it is fuelled by is manifested within you is really empowering and helps me realise that I possess that strength and maybe my healthy self is capable of harnessing it. Thank you. Also, just a huge thank you in general for the incredible support you put out Mia, and being so vulnerable and brave and such an ambassador. You've never triggered me and I think that is testament to your insight, understanding and intelligence and care. Xxxxxx

P.s. has anyone else noticed that the adverts that come up on KZitem in-between ED recovery videos are for weight loss/really unhelpful stuff? I only follow recovery channels and music ones so I'm baffled by why it is getting channelled to those trying to exclude all of these diet culture things from our lives. Luckily I've become immune and just silence and skip ASAP, but some others may be more triggered and it angers and worries me that KZitem algorithms create this pattern? Xxx

Love this video. I’ve been in recovery for nearly a year and I was doing those dialogues before residential but they always were argumentative and distressing and always ended with the ED getting the last word. Strengthening that skill has been so helpful for me, and helped with self compassion and body image immensely

dialoguing is probably my favorite thing that i’ve gotten out of working with my CCI recovery coach! it has been so powerful for me not just with my ED but also for any self destructive or negative self-talk patterns. i’ve been telling other people about that tool as well as the transforming emotions exercises from carolyn’s workbook!

Thank you both. Watching this channel has been so healing for me. I'm 43 and I thought I recovered from EDs long time ago. This channel made me realise that I still had some unhealthy thought patterns, and what's even more important, it made me want that full recovery you're talking about. I want to get well. Thank you for your work ❤
