Let me explain my views - Cycling is mainly a cardiovascular exercise which predominantly strengthens the lower body muscles. - Cycling alone ( without diet modifications ) will not help in reducing weight. - Cross training ( swimming, running , walking , strength training ) will be greatly beneficial to enhance an overall fitness of a person. - Consistent cycling ( with time for rest and recovery ) is better than occasional long distance cycling. - Don't push your body to the limits by engaging in sudden , excessive , long distance cycling. - Ensure you get a proper bike fit done prior to engaging in cycling. - If weight loss is your target, please give equal or even higher importance to the diet ( Portion , Nature {Carbohydrate , Protein , Fat } }, Frequency and Timing of the diet. ) - Mr Vishnu , keep posting more informative and educative videos !!! Anil kadsur the cyclist who cycles more than 100 kilomtrs a day passed away the other day after a massive heart attack, says all. Sad i have seen him and talk to him. He was a magic , such keen was he in doing excrcise. Pushing beyond limits can badly afftect the body i gues. This has taken toll on Mr Anil Kadsur. ๐ข

I already understood your point in first video, it makes a lot of sense. Remembering that cycling is one of the easiest exercise you could do. I almost stopped doing any exercise after I started crying but it's a misconception that it can be a complete exercise. Very good point. You have pointed out the facts. Especially for people above 30 mustles will not build much naturally and needs the resistance training to build it...rest all as u said relates to cardio. Too much of cardio is bad, do extra to enjoy eating the food you love to eat.

Many months back in a video of yours about weight reduction through cycling I mentioned how cycling is not a complete exercise routine although it helps burn fat initially. Sadly the response I received from your "Loyal fans" and fanatic cyclists were very coarse and I ended up removing that comment. Its good that you've realised the flaws in taking up cycling as a very healthy way of life. When you start cycling you initially lose a lot of weight, especially from the lower body and also because of water loss(as it's an outdoor activity). It's very addictive and enjoyable as well and so people take up very long rides assuming it all for the better. I know many idiots who cycle 20kms and then happily eat porotta and beef and then preach about "healthy lifestyle". This is probably the worst thing you can do to yourself. You are basically consuming more fat, less fibres, less micro nutrients, all of which increases the chances of a block the circulatory system and at the same time creating more stress on your body by cycling. This is basically like inviting a heartattack into your home. Besides, health is not just about cardiovascular health. People who consume too much red meat have a very very high chance of develop bowel issues like IBD, ulcers, rectal cancers and so much more.. no amount of exercise can save you from these things.. Eat healthy, lose weight through a well rounded fitness plan which can involve cycling along with other forms of training or sports. Keeo yourself safe..

I really like cycling, cuz while cycling you see a lot more when cycling than on a motorcycle or a car. Cycling through a sunrise or a sunset is one of the best things ever....u know if you know. Doesn't mean you shouldn't lift weights or what....in fact you really should. Weight training plus having all the fun you can ever have through your neighbourhood.....best thing ever. PS: I'm a mountain biker and i have all the fun I can ever have....love it....try it guys get off the fu*n roads and see sights you've never seen. Plus have a drink and have a nice ride....you would never get caught๐
