Well, shoot. I was hoping you were going to pull out a pair of espadrille wedges. I struggle with chunky shoes and chunky heels because I feel like they make my size 10 giants look EVEN bigger. Thanks, Jamie! I think I'll head down the woven trend aisle.

Hey Marilyn! No worries, I mentioned them in my spring shoe trends video so you are okay! I will also talk about them in an upcoming video so watch for that! I know the chunky is not for everyone so stick with what works for you.

Love these videos!!! After a severe ankle injury, I will never wear heels again. However, I have been really excited about some of these shoe trends this year. I purchased an ivory pair of braided flats, a ruched pair of Tan Flats, and a black pair of the interesting slides which I've heard them referred to as comfort slides, the puffy ones. These are all so comfortable and easy to wear.

I enjoyed your information! I’m a thin person with skinny legs and the big platform flat bed sandals aren’t for me. I see others wearing them and like you said if they don’t have relaxed fitting clothes they look terrible. I prefer feminine strappy shoes with well fitted clothes 😀 Thanks 🤗

Thank you and I think that is great for you! Chunky does not look great on everyone or with everything!

I am chunky so do you think I would be able to wear these? I wear slip on clogs with a rubber sole that I like.

I really don't think it matters if you are chunky but it's really what you pair them with them with! :) So, yes I think you can!

Great edition- thanks! Last year, I purchased a pair of "platform fake Birkenstock/Croc sandals' -very inexpensive, in white. Well! I wore them EVERYWHERE WITH EVERYTHING. The platform was higher than the typical height. This year, I was eyeing those 'interesting slides' with the thought of the ease and style lift of last years' sandal- an inexpensive update. This video will put that into action :)

I recall running for the bus in platform sandals in the dinosaur days. The wedge was made of cork (not plastic) I think. Thank you for highlighting the need to balance a chunky shoe with more volume in the top half when wearing a narrower jean or pants. That explains why my very comfy combat style booties look so out of proportion to the rest of me. At 5'1", it's a whole lotta shoe - so little me. Sorted 👏👏👏 Now autumn (fall) here and dressing warmer, I find your practical advice translates well to any season. Thank you so much Jamie.

I love almost all of these trends. They are wearable & walkable. Two wins as far as I'm concerned. I additionally love this season's colors. The puffy braided styles are my faves. I can wear them with almost anything. ❤❤❤

My favourite of these is the slides and I’ve spotted a pair in a nude suede that I’m going to invest in. Luckily I have a platform sandal with a bit of weaving I got 3-4 years ago and I can’t wait for it warm up so I can get them out again. I’m all for these more comfy trends 😀

So…the 70’s called. They want their platform heals back. I’m 55 so I was there. I can’t believe those things have come back. Crazy. I can’t wear heals anymore (chronic pain) so the “single platform” will have to do. No puffy shoes tho. Everything old is new again.
