I completely agree with you guys about the price of the Livewire range. The prices are insane if they're marketing them as city bikes when you can easily pick up a super73 bike for something like $2 grand and have a decently fast city bike. Different beasts but the point being the price of the livewire doesn't justify a city only bike sell point.

was on Facebook about a week ago and had an ad from live wire, saying come test ride our new models, so that's what I did last weekend. that being said I was incredibly surprised with just how fun they were, particularly the del-mar, really enjoyed that bike. current have 3 different bikes and could see that being a fun 3rd or 2nd option. hope the brand realizes some form of success because their products were fun to ride, far better then the new Ducati hyper mono I tested a few days later, love the show guys

Ref the automatic gear shifts coming now, just look at how cars have evolved over the last 20 years. I grew up knowing that I needed to drive a manual gearbox, but I haven’t owned a stick shift for years now. I suspect that the bike market will go the same way, albeit more slowly given the part that riding involvement plays in the whole experience. The take up of quick-shifters seems to support that riders might go for automatic boxes, given time.

Tim is the Ari Henning across the pond. And count me out for DCT. Shifting is a significant part of the riding experience. Although DCT is great for people with hand or foot disabilities or arthritis, so maybe our elders are accounting for all those sales.

25:09 they sell more dct than without because in some countries they don't offer anything else but dct variants.

I have no desire or need for DCT or any sort of electronic clutch systems, but I disagree with you about adaptive cruise control. If you're going to have cruise control, for the UK only adaptive makes sense. I've had a couple of bikes with standard cruise control, and the combination of busy roads and dreadful lane discipline means that I'm forever braking, then re-engaging cruise. Whereas I had a car with adaptive cruise, and that was brilliant, particularly for variable speed limits and average speed road works on motorways.

Would luv to see the new Hayabusa come out with the original Copper colour scheme.. I'm surprised they didn't do it for the 25th year anniversary model

Any chance Either Motobob or rarefiedroad will do a retro motorcycle season this year ? A lot of the first ever fuel injection motorcycles are coming to 20 years now, like the ZX6R, Triumpg Sprint 955i, etc. Would love to see a season of those being revisited.

Will there still be a review of the BMW R12 cruiser? Maybe from Tim, who seemed to prefer it over the RnineT version? I would love to see such a review from either of you guys and I love your podcasts as well. Thank you!

Why oh why are Honda taking so long to bring out a faired CB750 Hornet, now that in urban tiger would be a winner 🏆

red for me. The blue GP looks too much like a Rothmans Honda. WTF wants a Yam to look like a Honda? Tromp L'oie is an artistic trick to use shading etc. on a 2D plane to make you believe the object is 3D. My cousin made a mint out of doing it to rich people's homes. I love the XSR GP, not so keen on the square headlight, it'd look much better with twin rounds a la original EXUP.

Livewire is getting close to the sweet spot on price, but it's getting farther with the range. I get it though with more range comes a bigger battery, heavier, more expensive and here we are asking for a better price but it's early days of electric motorcycles. They need to consider this as pioneering and development. The company will have to be in the red or just make a goal of breaking even for the next 5 yrs easily but your new brand would grow while others aren't at this time. Articles like should Harley give up doesn't make sense... you're just giving fuel to the fire of the execs in that company that want to kill it off. You kill progress with it and then you go back to the problem HD already has which is its aging and resistant to change. Honda's automatic on the new goldwings was pretty seamless for me but I still can't picture myself owning an automatic bike. A quickshifter is loads of fun though, I like a nice bike with that. Also you didn't link the XSR900 GP kit would've liked to check that one out. I go to ysgear but it's not pulling up.
