I somewhat agree but him being a youngster has its limits. He doesn’t know ANYTHING before 2000. Let’s not forget the REAL TRANSIT TERRORIZERS RTDM! The reason these guys even have their name and history. RTDM paved the way for these guys since ‘85. So much RTD Bus change their name to MTA bus lines. Man we hated that time! They went from the sick RED AND BLACK buses to the G@y orange and yellow lol.

Dope interview. I remember back in 2000 - 2001 I used to spent A LOT of time at the Belmont tunnels and always hung out and met a ton of different writers there. I remember meeting Upset, Dest, Yanoe, Gas, 7dee, Eagle, Pug amongst other MTA members. This interview takes me down memory lane for sure.

This is a great wholesome interview, I can definitely tell Do Know was excited to have them on. They should definitely do more crews or individuals in general they definitely had a lot of questions for graff writers in general than actually focus on the crew itself haha which is cool no matter what but yeah definitely look into more you guys keep up the amazing work.

Wow this is legendary. For those not from LA or not into graff - these guys were urban legends in the scene. I used to be heavily into graff around 13-15 years old and I saw MTA members like famous people or rockstars. Crazy to see this interview now.

I know OCP was targeted by an interagency gang task force back in 2010, I thought TKO was also considered a gang by law enforcement. MTA made the news consistently in the mid 2000s all over California. And I still see SUFER being active, that dude doesn’t give a fuck. I met him and TORO when they came to Honolulu back in 2007. Chill ass dudes. Imagine a podcast strictly dedicated to graffiti? They would be dope.

I got snuck up on the other day and I just put my cans away, walked away quickly, and he just chilled there. I had to drive back to see if it was a cop and it was 100%.... They don't wanna do that kind of paperwork.

A lot of young graffiti artist don't know is that during the 90s in LA graffiti culture went through a little gang banging phase. graffiti crews during the 90s started beefing it with A lot of Mexican gangs. A lot of Varrios were absorbing graffiti crews and giving them an ultimatum. MTA was one of the deepest graffiti crews and they had there riders. I remember the TKO VS MTA beef

They exaggerate on the gang injunction. It was approved by the city’s attorney but suspended and never issued against them. It was approved, however it was never used to validate MTA. It gained so much notoriety for the fact the city’s attorney proposed it and approved it against a tagger crew of 8 people and not an actual gang.

These guys are well known and legends in LA streets. They should’ve asked them if MTA was formally known as RTD. Because RTD was the previous bus company. Then it became MTA. Also as far as Sk8, I thought he passed away in 88. They should’ve also asked them what came first, the big MTA river piece, or Saber’s from MSK. They should’ve touched on the TKO beef. Some of the crews that kept up: COI, TKO, MSK, OES, UTI, OTR, LOD, NHD, STP, LTS, OCP, RK, JS, JOR, AWR. They need to have the biggest LA graffiti legend “CHAKA”.
