I loved the story as a kid. I'm older now and the story has a new meaning for myself. It's a story about aging and about the need to move beyond abusive relationships. Lots of seniors are on the road to Bremen.

Catgut's song is awesome-she's quite the singer. I really did feel sad as a kid when that bastard Caleb Siles threw Catgut out the window and into a bucket of water!

I mainly remember this song because the movie was played quite a bit on Nickelodeon in the early 90s.

The rats sure went through a lot of design changes, didn't they? They look like they could pass for real rats here.

Poor Leroy, T.R., Rover Joe ad Catgut. I felt so bad for them when they worked for the 4 robbers Mordecai, Lardpork, Mean Floyd and Caleb Siles who abused them.

Out of all the gang leaders, I wonder why Caleb wasn't made as an old woman instead of an old man?

Is that Cisily Tyson doing the voice of Catgut? It sounds like her. Either her Carol Channing.

It's weird... Even though Jim Henson's crew were always THE best puppeteers ever, their marionette work was usually as awkward as marionettes generally tend to be. (I love Emmett Otter, but some scenes in that are just goofy.) So why do the marionettes in THIS movie look so impressive? lol

Bobsheaux They were a bit ahead of their time, and you could see where they were going with the shows and eventually movies.
