The daughter had zero intentions on turning Kenneth in which why Archie Richmond name was not revealed. She confided in her in-law who then alerted the police. She then confirmed the allegations but definitely left her uncles name out. Im willing to bet Archie’s children will seal this case one day soon in the same manner as Kenneths daughter did. It’s weighing heavy on their hearts! It’s coming🙏🏾🥹

They can close the case! Kenneth’s accomplice was his brother who is now deceased as well. He passed of cancer too. In fact Archie Richmond was diagnosed 1st.. Archie showed his dislikes for blacks it was my buddy oh pal that just loved Blk people so much he started a bootleg cab service for a small fee in the early 80’s. He told me many women came up missing and he hoped they’d one day be found and he wouldn’t get blamed. Makes me sick just thinking of what he was indicating. We were so close, he was allowed to walk with me on breaks to the store at night.. 3-5 times a week I walked side by side with a racist murderer who hid it very well. I have so many stories and memories with this man I would get sick from crying. I was pregnant with my son and he wanted to protect me. I often battled with the thoughts did he really have a change of heart or did he just play the role until his life had been fulfilled. If you ever met Kenny Richmond you’d swear this story was made up.. That’s how much love he showed and was loved by so many of staff members.. If his family ever read my comment they’d know I’m not making anything up.. Kenneth and Archie chewed tobacco. Archie’s room was up the ramp and Kenneth’s room was on the right side of the nurses station.. William Hill the Facility owner adored Kenny and his favorite nurse was my grandmother Laura Jackson.. Lynhurst Healthcare in Indianapolis Indiana.. May this beautiful angels soul rest in heaven! I truly believe your spirit protected me and my unborn child.🕊️❤️

I remember this crime. I was a young girl, then. ( I live in Martinsville) Although the town was considered a sundown town, the people, for the most, were kind and caring. This crime devastated us. I know exactly the crime area and for years was plagued by the memory of her murder. There was a fear in the town of the unknown assailant more than hidden agendas. Parents kept their kids closer. Today I still feel an intense sadness for her loss of life. In her death she brought a town closer together. Her sacrifice was not in vain. Even though the murderer was not from Martinsville, we will always remember her and honor her presence here.

A few seconds in and I hear "sundown" town 😢. Her stoyry happened decades ago but it's still very present. I know racism exists and runs rampant, but being born and raised in the northeast (Connecticut), that isn't something we deal with overtly. We have racial nonsense, but not to that extent, especially in 2023. This country focuses on things in other nations, but we still have "sundown" towns?! I hear the midwest in actually worse than the south. Again, I am not too familiar. Anytime I have gone down south, it has only been to very diverse and large cities. I can't grasp it. I can't imagine getting off the nearest exit to make a pitstop and being "welcomed" with racial tension. Just sad.

What a horrific story. All she was doing was making a living and for this to happen to her? Senseless and vile! That murderer should have had to pay for what he did. Even if he spent his last hours in prison, he deserved it. What a slap in the face to the family. And then they still have no idea who his accomplice was? Somebody knows something. Coincidentally, I visited this town once in May 2000 with a former bf. If I'd known it was a Sundown town, I'd have never gone.
