This multiple award-winning film was produced for the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance in 2009 on a limited budget. It is being shown at the renovated Edwin Carter Log Cabin Discovery Center in Breckenridge, CO.
Edwin Carter unwittingly became one of our nations most prominent naturalists. The documentary chronicles how a New York-born hunter and Colorado gold miner helped expose the environmental consequences of his trades. The Free Masons played an interesting role in his life and they saw to it that he was honored by lying in state at State Capitol in Denver and Breckenridge after he died...all in all very unusual.
Filmed in Colorado, New York and Washington State. Narrated by Dick Foley of the Brothers Four and scored and edited by Blue Note Productions, New York.
