Can you do a video on the claim that "demons are behind every pagan religion" I heard that claim and I'm wondering what your opinions are on it, what the Catholic Church says about it. Also I have hard another claim that is "taking the eucharist with a mortal sin is opening doors to demon possession" when I heard that claim I was thrown off and I also want to know what you think about that.

Just to comment a bit on pope Francis. I agree with you on what you said Jimmy. Pope Francis also said “God is God of all, and we all are children of God”. How do we become children of God? The answer is through Jesus Christ. No other religion has this theology. I call that an evangelization.

Albanian, Jesus Christ teaches that when He dies, He will draw ALL MEN TO HIMSELF! For salvation? No! For judgment and Revelation of Truth? Yes! Pope Francis is absolutely correct, as EVERYTHING leads to God eventually, it's source! Why was the giving of alms and prayers of Cornelius, a Non Christian Gentile, pleasing to God? The Son of Man shall give to each according to one's works or lack of works! Pope Francis teaches that Jesus Christ ALONE saves! Peace always in Jesus Christ our Great and Kind God and Savior, He whose Flesh is true food and Blood true drink!

And The Good Samaritan, a foreigner outside the faith, was justified before God by his work of mercy!,Jesus Christ alone saves, but who Jesus Christ saves, is affirmed by Jesus Christ our Savior, as the Son of Man shall give to each according to one's works. ( Matthew 16:27), for to those who HAVE SHOWN MERCY, MERCY SHALL BE SHOWN THEM! As a Southerner who knows some history, I appreciated the joke about the Civil War (or should I say War Between the States or War of Northern Aggression or War for Southern Independence?).

@@fantasia55 A captive will "agree" to anything when in the hands of a captor, especially a harsh one. But historical facts (and the correct view of authority) should determine the most proper name. For example, was Protestantism a reformation or a revolt/rebellion/schism? So did the war start with the North attacking the South? Were the North and South both fighting for control of the one national government? What were the end goals of each side? What principles did each side appeal to?
@dave_ecclectic

@@tonyl3762 Just to jump in here but my understanding is the Southern states ceded from the union and formed a new government. Ultimately this was done because they did not like who had been legally voted as President. They then attacked a federal fort- Fort Sumter, starting the war. (an act of war) Each side's goal was to win. The South only needed to encourage the North to quit the war leaving them a separate government/country. While the North was required to defeat the South, thus preserving the union which we have today. Protestantism was a rejection of the truth that then spun into any other form you wish to name. Today Protestantism is a person who picks up the Bible and begins not the Church of Jesus but their own ministry.

@@dave_ecclectic _"ultimately...did not like who had been legally voted as President"_ There is a whole history of events before the election of Lincoln that should be taken into account to understand what his election meant/represented to the South, and it was not just about slavery. Are you aware of or interested in those other events or issues? I believe George III was also a legal/legit king of England/Britain during the 18th century, yes? And Parliament a legal/legit government/legislature? Did not the American colonists attack the British Ft Ticonderoga in 1775? Did they not also attack other forts named Washington and Lee in 1776? _"The South only needed to encourage the North to quit the war leaving them a separate government/country."_ Are you saying this is not what the South wanted? Other than taking control of federal forts/land in the South, are you saying the South did something else to encourage to North to wage war? After Ft Sumpter, was it not Union forces that first crossed over into Confederate Virginia? _"the North was required to defeat the South"_ Why?

@@tonyl3762the South _was_ courting the British alliance, and it was less than four score and seven years since the United States was formed from the former British colonies, and only two score and sixteen years since the last peace treaty with Britain. I go to Mass to hear the service, not some screaching kid whose mother is too rude or totally tuned out and disrespectful to other persons around them. I mentioned this once before, and some woman retorted, "We love our babies in our church!" That is great and how it should be. Love them - while you take their tantrum to the Mothers' Room or out in the lobby. I totally sympathize with the "grumpy priest." I am amazed at times that they don't say something, or simply stop speaking while giving a meaningful look at the irresponsible mother.

At our FSSP TLM parish, I swear that there are more children and babies than there are adults! It gives me hope in the future of the Church. Children will learn to sit during Mass ONLY if they are brought to Mass regularly. Most parents do not let their babies cry without tending to them. but the crying will precede the attention, obviously. "If it ain't crying, it's dying." is the refrain I have heard.

I can empathize with those who replied to a limited extent. Train your children, grow the church, lend a helping hand, lovely. My initial point remains - I have no children with which I am preoccupied, and still, at times, it seems I am in a daycare and not a worship service. Mind you, I am addressing those who let things escalate to where people literally cannot hear anything but "the child in training" or again, more probably, that mother who is the only one in a room oblivious to her ranting child. There are solutions - the Mothers' or "Cry Room" - Maybe a special "Family Time Mass" for those who have more children than adults... Not everyone has a large family of small children, or any children. May God bless your efforts to raise upstanding Catholic citizens to carry on...

Jimmy Akin, stop being a coward and give me those scriptures that you use for purgatory, the scriptures that you twist to get your money making scam of purgatory.
@sliglusamelius8578

The best scriptural support for purgatory is Luke 11:47-48. Jesus metes out various degrees of punishments. Mary the Blessed Virgin has appeared to many saints and she showed them heaven, hell, and purgatory. You dismiss all such things out of hand. You don't get to tell God how to interact with his Church and his disciples, or what special graces He gave to the mother of Christ..

Alan, just stop it. You're displaying the behavior of a fanatic by introducing this same topic into the thread of every video no matter what topic it is on. I will ban you from the channel if you continue. I've been doing apologetics for over 30 years, and I am thoroughly conversant with the biblical basis of purgatory. I have discussed it many times, and I do not need to drop everything and recite it for the latest, excitable would-be disprover. I'm not a coward; I'm just not interested in discussing the subject with you. You obviously don't know the subject area, as your own comment refers to purgatory as a "money making scam," when it has been impossible for centuries to offer a donation for an indulgence. If you want to keep participating on this channel, you need to stop acting like a fanatic and start acting politely.
