The man holding cook book was Lloyd Bochner. He also starred the original Twilight Zone episode back in 1962 shouting the same line as he did in this movie " Its a cook Book ! The three-foot shootout and "Is this some kind of bust?" were originally in the Police Squad TV show. The reason that ZAZ were able to get away with recycling so many jokes from 'Police Squad' was that it was canceled after only six episodes and the series hadn't been syndicated or released on VHS/DVD when the movies came out. I remember watching the movies and thinking to myself, 'That's from this episode. That's from that episode.' Doesn't take away the enjoyment of the movies, it's just that if Emily goes back and watches the TV series, the jokes might not land as hard as they would if she had seen the series first.
