Narcissists Deserve This Bad❗When The Narcissist Loses The Real One (Yes You!) kzitem.info/news/bejne/sa97spV8epdkjZgsi=aqVuulF3uHcnQ5mw

The hoover season, otherwise known as “cuffing season” is when all the dead beats and narcissists come out of the woodwork to see which old supply will allow them in their beds for the winter period. Food, company, sex, a roof over their heads - then when spring arrives, off the go to get ready for summer - predators out on the hunt for new supply.

Thank you for your insightful comment. You've described 'hoovering' or 'cuffing season' quite accurately, painting a vivid picture of this behavior pattern often seen in narcissists. They do indeed return to old sources of supply when it suits them, offering false promises or temporary comfort, only to move on when their needs are met. It's important to recognize these tactics and protect oneself. Continue to stay informed and aware, and thank you for being a part of our community!

I never knew what Cuffing season truely refers to and mentioned to my first BF the Narcissist in my thirties at the end of the summer fling incidentally ( which I thought was gna be marriage and he met my family) . Thank you. I was discarded horribly and I’m pretty sure he cuffed an old supply as by January he mentioned himself in an argument. Though by Jan it appeared a lie but may have been true Straight after break up💔, the way he showed himself I would have never thought he would move on so swiftly I remember telling him unlike other couples even if we break up I wouldn’t move on like a train. But by nxt month from break up I was being ghosted.

I went no-contact with a narcissistic friend, blocked all social media, phone, etc. He took to showing up to my house with hoover attempts. This last time he showed up after a 3 or 4 month no-contact. This time he had a cancer scare. I replied that he had a good support system with his kids and girlfriend. He says "I thought you would be more supportive since your own sister died from cancer!" I started to feel bad but with all the hardwork I put into myself I realized he was just an aging narcissist who got better at lying with age. Narcissists dig deep when it comes to manipulation tactics! They have no shame like you said.

Your strength and resilience in maintaining a no-contact policy with your narcissistic friend is commendable. It's a challenging situation, especially when manipulative tactics are used. It's important to prioritize your wellbeing, and you've done just that. Your self-awareness in recognizing these tactics is a testament to the hard work you've put into yourself. Keep standing your ground and remember, it's okay to protect your peace. Thank you for sharing your story with us. It's a powerful reminder of the lengths to which narcissists can go in their manipulation, and the strength we can harness to resist it.

I was discarded for the grass is greener on the other side, I am now free! And will NEVER return! After years of healing and years of suffering a blame I should have never accepted, I’m older and wiser, let him suffer with his counterfeit, I could care less, I have returned to the me I was before I met him! Thanks for this info ❤

Thank you for your comment. You're absolutely right, narcissists often keep a backup supply of attention and validation, ready to move on quickly after a relationship ends. Their lack of empathy and emotional depth allows them to switch their affections without the emotional turmoil that most people would experience. It's a harsh reality, but being aware of it can help us protect ourselves. Stay strong and informed!

Thank you for your comment. It's a profound reminder of the subtle transitions in life that we often overlook. This can resonate with many, especially those who have experienced a sudden shift in their relationships with a narcissistic parent. It's a poignant point to ponder on as we continue exploring the complexities of narcissism together.

Okay, you say take care and be safe. But, no one tells us how. Carefully put one foot in front of the other? Disappear from society? Carry a weapon and use it on anyone who startles you? Warn people that this might happen to you? Tell people not to buy into their stories? Call the police and report your fear of the narc's rage being taken out on you? Walk around in armor? Hire a P.I. to keep tabs on him and his flying monkeys? How do we take care? All these videos do is tell us that our lives are in danger. What the hell good does that do?
@MentalHealthPedia

I understand your frustration and fear, and you're right that simply saying "take care" can seem insufficient in the face of such a traumatic experience. When I say "take care," it involves several steps: First, seek professional help. Therapists or counselors who specialize in abuse or trauma can provide strategies to cope with your emotions and fears. Second, consider legal protections if necessary; consult with a lawyer about restraining orders if you feel threatened. Third, build a support network of friends, family, or support groups who understand your situation. Fourth, self-care is crucial; this includes eating well, exercising regularly for stress relief, getting enough sleep and doing activities you enjoy. Fifth, learn about narcissistic behavior to better protect yourself from manipulation. Lastly, if you feel immediate danger at any point in time-call the authorities immediately. You are not alone in this journey-there are resources available to help navigate these challenges.

How we can help them?
@MentalHealthPedia
11 ай бұрын
Helping narcissists can be complex and often requires professional assistance. Firstly, it's crucial that the narcissist recognizes that they have a problem and accepts the need for help, which can be challenging in itself. Secondly, engaging in therapy is important, where a therapist can provide strategies to manage and improve narcissism. These strategies can include interpersonal skills, emotion regulation, and reducing egocentric thinking. Lastly, helping a narcissist requires patience. Change doesn't occur instantaneously and often requires time and effort. However, the key is to help the narcissist understand the impact of their actions on themselves and others.

I too thought I could help them once. It’s not about helping them , they’re in your life to destroy it and dime your beautiful light. Helping them is like helping a drowning person, they’ll take you down with them. Run if you can!
