I played one a couple years ago at Carter's Vintage Guitars in Nashville and I really liked it - super awesome sounding amp, clean or dirty it did it all and did it nicely, thanks for posting this video.

Yeah, these were a thing in Nashville for a while. Garth Brook's guitarist was playing them for a while and I know several studios there used to have them on hand. ...but obviously they never caught on quite like Fenders & Matchless DC30s there.

Sounds great and love to hear the stories of the gear from the 90s-00s that people bonded with. My local store only had the Electroverb so I never got to hear one. Billy Howerdel was another guy who mentioned that amp. I'm still playing og Egnater stuff made in MI, Fryette, and Pearce.

Yeah man, the Fryette/VHT & Egnater stuff is legit (not familiar with Pearce)! Yeah I won't lie, the Billy Howerdel story was a factor when I bought this. :)

Great sounding amp, and great playing/info! These are pretty hard to get these days right?

Thanks! Yeah there's a pretty long wait for them if you want a new one. It's worth it IMO. There's still one available on reverb for ~6k.

@@BenBreard I definitely want one. Doubt I’ll ever be able to afford it haha.

@GuitarVacation yeah they're expensive for sure. Honestly you might want to consider some of the Friedman amps or a Bogner XTC 101B. You'll probably be just as happy and they're way easier to get for less $$. Just a thought.

@@BenBreard You have my guitar gear profile figured out, LOL. Been using the synergy Bogner Ectasy as the foundation of my tone for a while. Now that I think about it, if Naylor got in the Synergy game, I think that would be an immediate purchase for me and a lot of others. Either way, I’m just a bedroom guitar player, I could be playing a metal zone through a practice bass amp, and nobody would care but me 😂

The knobs off pudding...they move too easy...Sounds great though.

I agree, Naylor’s are about the best Marshall style gain I’ve heard. I’ve actually been looking for one recently.

They are tough to find. I was surprised to see one on reverb actually. I really wish Dave would get the production up. ...but I know small businesses are tough for a thousand reasons. Good luck getting one; I don't think you'll regret it. I forgot to mention in the video that one time before a gig, I got to A/B it to an expensive Two Rock that a guy just bought. He looked like he wanted to cry after his amp got SMOKED by the Naylor! :)

In had a duel and a Detroit original. Both great heads. I still have an Electroverb 38 that’s phenomenal.

Awesome. I think I read the guy from Guytron amps did the reverb part of the electroverb. Always great to meet another fan. Cheers!

Good video, thanks. I had an TA guitar that was identical to yours, about 15 years ago or so. I traded it to another guy in Austin. Wondering if it's THAT guitar.

I promise it's definitely not this one. I'm the original owner and the serial number is my 21st birthday w/ my initials after it. :) ....some times it's the little things in life. Last year I made a video on this guitar. It's my number 1 and I freakin' love it. Go get you another one! ;)

@@BenBreard Ha - OK -- good to know. The identical one that I had -- I remember paying $1,400 to the original owner, who was in Hawaii, for it. Not too long after that, I traded it to a local guy for his Anderson Hollow Cobra S, which was my primary gigging guitar for several years. I'm just not a maple fretboard guy. Great tone and playing in your video, BTW!
@BenBreard

Thanks for the kind words! So funny that I kind of did the opposite. I started on a Cobra S, after getting the drop top, I sold the cobra for $1300 (i regret that!). I ended up getting another Cobra in 2016 and split ~50/50 playing time between them. I definitely hear you on maple fretboards. I couldn't stand them for years, then I couldn't stand anything else for ~15 years. These days I seem to be able to enjoy everything. I'm not sure why.

Y-u like these better than Friedman?

I can't say, because I've never played a Friedman. I'm pretty sure I'd like them though. ....and this amp is 1/2 of his famous "Naked" amp. ....but yeah, I can't answer that.

Naylor? It sounds…meh. Nothing better than Orange. NOTHING! Your amp sounds, well..just meh. Very plain Jane.

Things to keep in mind. You're hearing a mix of cell phone mic and SM57. I pretty much make all amps sound like this from a "core tone". ...so that tells me that my hands might sound like "meh" to you! I've actually never played an Orange amp in my life. They make like 600 models. Which one(s) are worth looking at?
