Here we never really hated nazis and they were treated very well because here most of the population is white and the only country in south america with a white mayority of population. minorities almost doesn't exist here and we are a very racist country. thats why we supported the nazis and also helped them escape. If you see argentina nowadays, the german heritage became the biggest with the italian. thats why they never got punished nor discriminated.

(Not so) fun fact. My grandfather in Brazil actually met him in São Paulo. Because my grandfather was a doctor and was part German they both got along pretty well. Years after Mengele’s death they finally ID him and my grandfather turns pale, confused about the man he thought he knew. Long story short my grandparents were not happy that day.

Well that is true but also false. True because so much of what he did was so evil. However we use his knowledge today. If it wasn't for his terrible experiments we would be centuries behind in medicine. Not saying what he did at the time was good it was straight evil, but his research has saved countless lives today.
