I've followed the Birds since 92. The Birds defensive line is not playing together at all and Jalen turns the ball over too much. I'm expecting a beat down loss, 34-17 Saints, w the Eagles not scoring a TD till the 4th quarter.

You say system, system, system, and, yes, while that's been impressive, none of these fancy well designed modern plays would work without an OL opening holes and providing stellar protection. Look at two recent first round draft choices: Fuaga and Ruiz. THAT's where the Saints success mostly comes from.

The coolest Play i have seen from the saints in the past was an I Formation that led to a bomb down the field. i haven't seen it done in a long time, would be awesome to see. But as an added twist to change it up, Put Kamara and Hill in I formation and set up a screen to the Right, Hill as a tailback lead blocks creating a fake sweep, defense realize its a fake drops back leaving the screen wide open. easy 15-20 yard pickup. i saw one college team do this once and it was an untouched Touchdown. I think the saints did it once back with the Kamara-Ingram Duo Glory days.

Great analysis but one correction… Kubiak never taught Carr how to be an anticipation passer. I’ve been watching Carr since the Fresno State Days and he has always done that. I even took my son to one of his Elite Carr QB Camp in Bakersfield and he even taught the young QBs to anticipate the pass, if the receiver is not there then it’s his fault. This is the very reason why last years start of year look so bad on Carr because his passes were no where near receivers due to his anticipation passes and they were no where in sync with each other. Just saying… Carr has always been an underrated QB because he’s that dam good that his receivers just needed to catch up to his level of play.

Carr has been THAT GUY for a very long time, but it’s taken awhile for him to be a part of a cohesive unit on both sides of the ball.

He's not saying Kubiak taught him. He's saying that Kubiak is telling Carr where he wants the ball to go, with more emphasis than a standard progression system. This detail has been confirmed by Carr, and is standard for Shanahan systems.

Carr said after the game that big long TD to Shaheed that he didn't think there was a chnace for it since they were running cover 2 to stop the long bomb but he saw Shaheed beating both Safeties and let her rip. Olave was wide open as well so hats off to see Shaheed break free. He bragged on Rahid's route running. I think most QBs would have gone to the ezier throw to Olave

There is absolutely nothing the saints need to change except their plays that didn’t work. However I am worried that someone can do just what you did here and start to learn their patterns. I really would like the saints to become a dynasty in my lifetime. They have to continue to innovate the game though. Me and my buddy used to call the 2018 saints defense Boonk Gang. They were really good about playing strongly, being vigilant about learning plays in order to keep the ball out of possession of these really strong quarterbacks, today like Mahomes and Tago. Either by interception or shut down. They have to have great skill on both sides besides scoring on offense.

well hell yeah other teams are going to watch film and study it and try to crack the code and beat it. That's just what football is all about. But with Kubiak he is not just a great game planner, he is an excellent play caller as well. Calling the right plays at the right time is all the difference in the world. I'm convinced Kubiak will keep mixing it up and being successful.

2 words. Joshua Dobbs. The last mobile QB (Vikings) who terrorised Saints last year. Saints defence somehow went static and unable to stop Dobbs from running all over our defence. Saints defence always struggle against mobile QB. Hopefully DA and defence can stop and contain Jalen Hurts from running all over Saints defence on Sunday.

Funny how a team does well for a couple of games, and everyone has to jump on the bandwagon. They're the best in the world, they can do no wrong, blah blah blah. But if they lose a couple of games now, they are inconsistent, overpayed, overhyped etc. Relax, folks. They've played 2 games so far. Let's just see how it goes and let them play some football.
@bernardthefourth

When Carr has time and his deep balls are hitting along with a strong run game he can look elite. He has one of the best deep balls the league has seen. He wants a cat and mouse game where strong rushing pulls the safeties forward so he can kill you with a shot. When he is rushed or when he has to make quick decisions in the red zone is where it can go wrong for him, he can be a bit slow making reads and his pocket movement can be lacking at times under duress. We will see against some other teams but him being very up and down is normal so I'm a bit skeptical. Carr is very polarizing but when the conditions of the defense play to his strengths he can tear it up.

Lol. Two weeks -- after a 9-8 season -- is hardly "dominant". Just as importantly, "dominant in week 2" is completely effing irrelevant.
