There is so much you can do now with the new iPad pro, put files on a hard drive through the Ravpower ( this is great ) transfer from an SD card in the Ravpower, use Photoshop, print from the iPad to my Epson P800, this is great in the motorhome. I just wish I was 40 years younger so I could remember everything . Thanks Aaron for a few tips you showed.

Great review!! I was in the Apple store last Sunday (my North Pole:) picking out a new desktop and decided to check out the new iPad. After realizing photoshop was released to the iPad the prior week and having such a positive experience with the editing tools of the pen on the responsive screen it was a no brainer for me!! I had to get the iPad for my photo editing! Even bought 2 so hubby can edit his drone videos! So excited to get started using the iPad in my workflow and leaving the laptop behind. I look forward to the upgrades that I’m sure Adobe and Apple will roll out 🍎 Love your work. Keep it coming.

I was very much looking forward to this new possibility. But now I am struggling a bit with the new approach. A full tutorial would be extremely helpful, Aaron! I also think this is going to change the way we work, radically. Easier, much more fun! And always the possibility to do “the real thing” on desktop. Well done for Adobe!

I'm very underwhelmed. I knew this wasn't going to be fully featured Photoshop, but I expected way more. So much basic stuff is missing. There's not even a curves adjustment layer. There's no way to refine selections. It doesn't work at all with Lightroom for iPad. I'm really disappointed. This needs so much work.

I agree with you but you have to understand that it's in its early stages, I'm sure we'll slowly start seeing updates in the months to come. But yeah, they should've added more features for this kickoff stage.

@@patricioderito3722 Well, if Adobe is as slow migrating all of the features from PS to the iPad as they have been with LR Classic to LRCC paint me skeptical that they will have any more success with iPad PS. Much of the migration from LR Classic to LRCC has all but stopped. Still no HDR/Pano Photo Merge.

While I think this is a great start, the inability to share photos between Photoshop and LR mobile is a pain. Why can’t they share the same cloud account? I don’t understand what the issue is.
@michaelanthony5962

I'm pretty sure Aaron may possibly be as disappointed as the rest of us with the lack luster release but chose a more positive approach because this is what his brand is built on. Photoshop is at the core of what they do. It's literally built into the brand's name. So it only makes sense for him to be on the positive side. So my guess is that he possibly might not be happy about the momentary limitations of this initial version but that he doesn't really need to express that.
@MichaelWDietrich

Thx for giving us some idea how to use this. What I was missing most, when using it first was curves adjustment layers and actions because I had to find a way to dodge and burn without curves adjustment (which can be done but is a rough hack an not as smooth as curves are). As there is not "actions" in photoshop for the ipad additionaly I have to do all this layer-construction process for d&b over and over again manually which costs a lot of time and makes it less effectice working on the ipad. A second thing I was missing is smooth blending of layers through blendif, but thats more a personal taste. Last Question: Adobe pls bring us ALL the adjustment-layer types photoshop for MAC/PC has and give us the possibility to record actions when creating adjustment layers, cause its a pain in the ass not to be able to follow a workflow you are used to for years.

It is good but still not enough. I'm using it only when I want to draw something like a hair or I'm painting something where I need to use apple pencil. I'm missing there pen selection tool which should be there ASAP with rest of the tools. I can't figure out how to export psd file to my mac photoshop if i want to continue on something. It would be great to have an option where I could jump between desktop version and iPad version using let's say airdrop and just keep transfering your file if you need. I don't have graphics tablet and would be amazing to have this option use both platforms if I need to use pencil. Is not really point to buy tablet for drawing if I already owe iPad pro with pencil.

In my workflow I’ll edit in LR and when I’m done then I’ll export it into PS to do some specific editing there before I’m completely done. I do this on the desktop. If this is capable or at some point capable on the iPad, it would be beneficial to me.

My problem arises when I try to move the new selection and align it the rectangular boundaries are a lot larger and not symmetrical to the cut out selection. for example when I want to align it to another object it doesn't work well. Is there a way to trim or crop the boundaries to the size and dimension of the cut out selection?? Thank You for your videos and your time.
