That is BS. He flat out beat the center, the fact the RB cut to another hole is besides the point. Based on your "logic" anytime a defensive line gets penetration but doesn't make the play...they get washed out! BTW that penetration gave the RB nowhere to go. Which is Benton doing what you want him to do on that play. Had he tried to beat the center on inside shoulder? It leaves a hole for RB to cut back to. Run defense is about closing running lanes and boxing in the RB.

Steelers no doubt had an impressive draft - imo the best of any team ahead of the Eagles and then the Bills - but this particular game tape is nothing special AT ALL. The first two plays he did nothing impressive, the third is a good play but again, nothing special. Fourth he gets to the QB and delivers a low hit AFTER the pass is made (which was completed) and in the fifth he basically gets pancaked, and the next to him actually makes the tackle. The sixth clip is the first actually good play and in the seventh he might've been held (didn't see the game or the recap but also didn't see a flag on the field) and the RB gets by him. So how does this in any way showcase that he's a "Freak of nature"?
