A lot of these people in the comments saying the audience needs to “stfu” need to realize that this type of behavior is completely normal at these types of shows. A lot of theater is highly interactive with the audience, and considering this isn’t even “theater” in the traditional sense I’d say the crowd was matching the energy that the cast was expecting from them

The fact that Danny Devito is the first to go and shake everyone’s hands in the front row 🥲 this man is an absolute icon, standing next to his wife on stage and putting so much energy into this performance. You don’t see Steve Martin or Jerry Seinfeld working laughs down at the Troubadour. So down to earth and engaging after one of the greatest careers in Hollywood. Absolute legend 🧡

Very late to the party, but I wanted to say that I just discovered IASIP last week because a friend of mine sent me this video as my "introduction" to the series. Glenn is clearly the best singer in the cast. But it's a bit of a shame that he had to sing both parts to "Dayman", because his falsetto "aah"s were so much better in the original "songwriting" scene of the series.

I love how this version has Dennis acknowledge how he helped write the Dayman song, it looks like he's about to say the same line in the episode as well but it cuts off. Although I guess it would be in-character for him to just forget it ever existed.

I'm pretty sure this was hinted at plenty of times throughout the show, this episode being one of them. One of his defining traits is being a Christian in self-denial of his Homosexuality.
