Pathfinder Bulettes are a lot larger :/ And aren't chonky like D&D's, I hope if I get a chance to DM my players never ask to try and get one of those, since well it's Size Huge, and while it's not a massive threat like a Dragon of similar size it ain't a push over either.

My dad had a chef character too. She even wrote a book "with a pan in the underdark" after a long campaign in the underdark where that character made fancy dishes out of monsters, plants, mushrooms and some stuff that cannot really be assigned to those categhories. Edit: I forgot to writa "a pan."

I made a cook build once and played it for a couple of sessions. He was a Dwarf Eldritch Knight Fighter named Argus, he used a huge pan as a shield and ladle as a mace. I homebrew it with the DM that a full course meal will give you 8 hours of stat busts or saving throws. To balance it the ingredients were expensive proportional to the effect and it took 1 hour to prepare and had to be consumed right away so it cant be done in a hurry. His dream was to one day serve his clan leader an Ancient Red Dragon steak.

Killing the flower should prevent that, theoretically. There's a quest in a bunch of monks getting turned out of the blue because someone didn't kill the flower, taking the shortcut of attacking it, letting it build up a burst, putting a bag over the flower to harvest just the burst, and then running.
