the "McDavid Assist" from game 5 is not a once-in-a-season for McDavid, I saw score goals going through top-tier teams NYR & Jets in a week. If McDavid wants to he will do it again. I am not sure the Oil will win, but it won't be McDavid's fault.

His goal when he came back from his knee injury I think it was against CBJ

The last goalie traded for a 1st round pick was Kuemper in 2022

I want to see history made. McDavid is otherworldly and I love a great storybook ending.

The return for Calgary isnt that bad, the thing that makes it a win for NJ is the retained salary/cap. Also, isnt i strange that Toronto couldnt meet that price? Wolf might be 6 feet but he looks small in net

I'm a Jets fan in Winnipeg. I think the "haul" that LA gave up for Dubois is greatly overrated. We got: Kupari - who scored one goal and didn't crack the lineup the second half of the year, Iafallo - who's a solid player, but a 3rd or 4th liner who spent the 2nd half of the season on the 4th line. Valardi is a solid top-6, but is injury prone. He played 47 games. That's it. And the 2nd round pick is not going to yield a star, but likely just a solid NHLer - hopefully. That's not a "haul".

As a Kings fan all I can say is when the trade went down my initial reaction was “vilardi is probably better than PLD.” Iafallo was a cap dump for the trade. I thought Winnipeg should have started rebuilding with that trade. I’m not sold on hellybuck.

Ullmark market might be limited. I doubt a team like Boston, who is going to be fighting for a playoff spot, wants to improve one of their EC competitors’ goalie situations. Who does that leave for competitive teams in the WC looking for a goalie? Avalanche, Kraken, Wild… Nashville on the other hand could send Saros anywhere, since they are rebuilding.

Thank you Frank for that LA take, you seem to be the only one to say the truth lol

PLD has no pride in his game he half asses it on most nights. The "shift" when he was in Columbus was who his is. He pouts when he doesn't get his way.

I wouldn’t give a fuck If I got traded after signing a big contract and the team traded a bunch of assets for me. Not my problem. Especially not how when the said team traded me lol he’s paid, who cares.

So Frank goes from: "if Oilers win Game 5, book tickets for Game 7" to "every one says Oilers will win Game 6, so Panthers will win the Cup" Frank, Frank, Frank......flopping like Tkachuk

Caps are close to needing to rebuild anyways. The potential dead money during the second half of his deal won’t be much of a problem since they won’t be competitive anyways. If he works out, then they’ll retain money if they have to and get pieces back for the rebuild.

I hope ullmark doesn't go to that loser franchise and Brady requests a trade
